Bulu Box Weight Loss March 2016 Review

Yeah! My Bulu Box is here, and I am ready to restart my fitness and health routine after a cross the country move kinda got in the way of that. I am settled now, and I want to get back into feeling great and treating my body right. Bulu Box is a monthly subscription box that offers at least five samples of supplements, vitamins, workout tools, and even some snacks for only $10 a month. Also, sometimes they include full size items. I used a coupon code to get each box for $5 for the rest of my life. That is a great deal, and I suggest you use it too.

Bulu Box allows you to review your samples for points that you can spend on full size products in their shop. That means that I will get at least $7.50 to spend in the shop for a box that only cost me $5. I think that is pretty great deal, especially when it is to help yourself get into shape, or be healthier on the inside. I really enjoy this box and the samples inside. They always surprise me, and I already feel healthier.

Yule Plant-Based Nutritional Shake

$49.99 - 600 g    ($3.33 Value)

This protein supplement is completely all natural, and comes from plant resources so it is vegetarian. With ingredients like cocoa, raw chia seed, and raspberry, it has great flavor and will give you the energy you're lacking. I think this is a great supplement for anyone who is vegetarian or vegan. When I stopped eating meat, I noticed a huge lack in energy, and I was craving is so much so I could get off the couch and move my body. This is a great way to get that protein you need without having to eat animals. Maybe with an item like this, I will be able to go back to a vegetarian lifestyle.

$11.99 - 12 pouches    ($1.00 Value)

I always think is a little weird that they include snacks in the weight loss beauty box, but as long as they are low calorie and nutritious, I guess I can understand. These freeze dried grapes are both of those things. This whole pack is only 38 calories, and they are grapes, so they have all the nutrients that come with that fruit. I normally really like freeze dried fruit, but grapes were a little weird. They look really gross, and the sourness of the grape doesn't translate well as a freeze dried snack. They do have a nice crunch, so that will be great when I am craving something like chips. These were alright, but I know I would have rather tried out the apples or the strawberries and bananas. I am glad I got to try them out, though.

$23.90 - 60 capsules    (Full Size!)

I think immunity support is very important when you are working hard, really busy, and not getting a whole lot of sleep. This capsule is backed with good bacteria with helps your body perform at its best. There are times when everyone around me is sick, and I can't afford to stay home for a few days to heal, so I am really interested in trying out this product. I have yet to dig in, but I know I will once that happens. Also, this is a full size product, and is worth four times the amount I paid on the box, which is crazy. I am really happy with this product.

$17.97 - 3 4oz bags    ($1.50 Value)

This is another snack in this month's box, which is a little annoying, and to be more annoying, these aren't low calorie or nutritious. They are gluten free for anyone following that diet, and they also contain zero fat and cholesterol. I guess that is nice, but so does licorice, and it isn't a healthy option at all. Because they aren't good for you, they have to be delicious, which is the truth. These were so yummy. Also, this small sample bag is a nicely portioned snack. The larger bag would probably make me overeat. I enjoyed this sample, but I am not ready to purchase this full size product.

$32.00 - 12 pack    ($2.67 Value)

This super juice is a cure all. It is an antioxidant powerhouse, it detoxifies, supports the immune system, assists with bone and joint health, supports healthy skin, hair, and nails, and is packed with protein. You already know how happy this makes me. I love cure alls like this, and that added protein source makes this a complete win. I do sometimes feel a cold coming on, or everyone in my entire office is sick, so instead of drinking orange juice, I would be happy to drink this to keep those illnesses away. I have yet to try this out, because I want to keep it for those times, but I bet it won't be the best flavor with all those nutrients. It is small enough to drink it quickly though.

$22.99 - 20 strips    ($3.45 Value)

I am really excited about this addition to this month's box. It is an item that completely fits in with the health and fitness subscription, but something I wouldn't expect. It is important that you feel good while working out, because an injury could really stop you from getting exercise longer than you like. These workout tapes will allow you to keep weak muscles from hurting and making sure tendons stay in place. It is also a lighter hold, so you will be able to move much easier than with your normal brace. I have yet to try these out, because I have yet to need them, but I have a feeling these will work really well. I will stash these for a time that pain is stopping me from getting my workout in.

$35.96 - 25 count    ($2.88 Value)

These little packets contain a pre-workout supplement with high quality ingredients that help you get up and go. It is really difficult for me to workout sometimes. I am always exhausted from work, so this natural energy will get me up and going, even when I don't have the slightest amount of energy. This doesn't have much more information than the bullets on the card which state, mental clarity, endurance, multi vitamin, joint care, antioxidants, and aloe vera. These are all great things, and I am happy that it is more than just natural energy. Plus, the creamsicle flavor could help curve those sweet cravings.

Overall, I am pretty impressed with this month's box. I am really excited about the two antioxidant defense products, and the protein additives. The KT Tape is really cool too. The two snacks are either god or bad for me, so I am a little disappointed about that, but I guess they will get eaten. I am not sure about the 4D energy packets, but hopefully they work really well. This box has a value of $38.73. I cannot believe that amount. This box only cost me $5 and I get $9.50 back in points after reviewing the products to spend in the shop. That means the value is closer to $50. Once in a while, Bulu Box surprises me with boxes like this, which is one of the reason I like it so much.

Bulu Box Weight Loss February 2016 Review

February is the time that people start falling of the horse a little from their new year's resolutions, so this Bulu Box is a good reminder to stick to it, and keep up my healthy and fit lifestyle. Bulu Box is a fitness and nutrition subscription box that delivers at least five samples to your door for only $10 a month. Sometimes they even include full size products. Also, if you use a coupon code, you can get $5 boxes for life. I only spend $5, so this box is totally worth if for me. I've been able to stock up on vitamins, shake additions, and healthy snacks. This is a great value, and I really enjoy trying out all the samples.

Each box only costs me $5, but I get at least $7.50 to spend in the shop on full size products every month by reviewing the samples. I save up those points to spend on items that I really enjoyed, so each box is basically free. Also, they are always having sales in their shop, and you can really save on bundles. Hopefully this month will include some samples that I would like to spend my points on to get more of those products. I am looking forward to seeing what this box has in store for me.

Almased

$33.99 - 17.6 oz    ($3.48 Value)

Amassed is a meal replacement made with ingredients that are proved to improve metabolism, give you energy, balance blood sugar, and burn fat while retaining muscle. On the website, they also give really good recipes for your meal replacement shake. I will probably add my normal fruits and grains, but I am excited to give this a try. I have been trying to eat less, and lose weight, but it is impossible to skip meals. It isn't healthy, and I feel weak from the lack of nutrients. Plus, I don't have energy to workout. I can't wait to give this a try, and I have a feeling it will work perfectly.

MealEnders in Chocolate Mint, Cinnamon, Citrus, and Mocha

$14.95 - 25 pieces    ($2.39 Value)

This interesting "candy" is a helpful way to trick your brain into not overeating by giving you a thin layer of sweet taste, like dessert, then a cool tingling sensation that triggers the trigeminal nerve. Those sensations signals the brain that the body is full with only 15 calories. This will save you from craving dessert, or even that second place of food. I do tend to overeat, especially if I am super hungry before eating, or if it is food that I love. I am talking about pizza. These will be a great way to enjoy the food I eat without overindulging. Also, this could stop me from eating donuts in the office or eating cake for those weekly birthday parties. I can't wait to give these a try.

NeoCell Beauty Infusion in Cranberry Cocktail

$32.99 - 11.64 oz    ($1.11 Value)

This isn't the first time I've received this sample, but I am alright with that, because I really like what this does, and it is also perfect to mix into smoothies. This drink additive helps add collagen to your skin, which helps you to look younger, but it also helps with hair and nails. I do normally just drink smoothies for protein and nutrients, but it makes sense that I'd want to look as good on the outside as I feel on the inside. This cranberry flavor tastes pretty good, but it doesn't go with my normal smoothie flavors. These are pretty expensive, so I won't be purchasing the full size container, but I am happy to try out this sample once again.

Caveman Nutrition Bar

$25.00 - 15 bars    ($0.12 Value)

I don't really like that they include food in the weight loss box, but I guess you can help those cravings all the time, so it is nice to splurge once in a while. I know that dark chocolate is pretty good for you in small amounts, because it doesn't include the added sugar and cream, but that is also probably why I don't love it. It is way too bitter. I will probably enjoy this bar enough, though, and I will happily save if for a time that I am craving chocolate without any in the house.

Tiger Balm Ultra Strength Pain Relieving Ointment

$12.99 - 18 g    ($1.44) Value

This is another sample I've received before, and I loved it. I had a really bad back pain that was making it difficult to sleep, let alone workout. I had my boyfriend apply this to any area that was hurting, and it was gone within minutes. But not only that, the muscle pain was much less the next day, and it disappeared completely a few days later. I have seriously considered purchasing this full size container, and I probably will once I collect enough points. I love this product so much. It is a little strong on the scent side though.

Smarty Pants All-in-One Adult Complete + Fiber Gummy Multivitamin

$32.99 - 180 ct    ($0.37 Value)

Once again, I've been sent this sample before, which I understand because they had to send me another box since mine did not arrive, and once again, I'm happy to have more of these to use. I hate swallowing pills, so these gummies are a great way to get my vitamins without having to stress over taking them. Also, you can kinda taste the vitamins packed inside, but it is more flavorful and tasty than it is undesirable. I would totally purchase these, but I have to go through all the ones I have at the moment first, and that could take a while. I couldn't feel good about purchasing more until I declutter the cabinet first.

Skinny Me Tea

$19.95 - 30 bags    ($0.67 Value)

This is a detox tea will completely clean out your system of all the toxins and excess waste we build up over time. You can use it the night before to start a cleanse fresh or you could use it as a cleanse all on your own. They recommend to drink it the night before a cleanse, and within eight hours, you will depose of all the waste, making you feel light and fresh and completely cleaned out. Once in a while, I feel just heavy and gross inside, so this tea will be great for me. It also has a citrus taste, which I love, so it tastes great too. I really like this tea, and I'd be happy to sample more in the future. Maybe I'll buy the full size box.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this box. Since my first box didn't arrive, and this is a replacement, I've received some of these samples before (beauty infusion, smarty pants, and tiger balm), but I am not bummed about that, because I really liked these the first time I tried them. I'm excited about the almased, the meal enders, and the tea, and I am sure I will really enjoy that chocolate bar when I crave it. This month's box has a value of $9.58, which is pretty good for a $5 box. Also, this is basically free, so any value on top is a win.

If you would like to try Bulu Box for yourself, just click here. It is a great box for someone wanting to keep up with their healthy routine or start one from fresh.

PopSugar Must Have March 2016 Review

Once again, I have received another PopSugar Must Have box, and this one again for the month of March. The very first box was for March, and while I did like it, I didn't love it, plus the price is a little high, so I've been saving these as a treat. This particular time, I fell in love with one of the spoilers, so I decided to splurge once again. PopSugar is a monthly subscription box that delivers full size or deluxe sample side items from categories like fashion, beauty, home, fitness, books and food. Every month you will receive an item from most all of those categories. It costs $39.95, so it isn't cheap, but it always has a value over $100, so you get your money's worth.

Each month comes with an itemized description pamphlet. These are nice to really understand the product, how they suggest you use it, and what it costs. I like to set these aside at first so I don't see any spoilers, but I will dig into it later after I've checked out each product. The items inside are usually great, but there is at least one item every month that I'm just not too thrilled about, but the good normally outweighs the bad, and I have absolutely loved some of the items before. Also, it is a special treat to yourself and the surprise each month is worth more than everything.  This month's inspirational words are Feminine, Refreshing, Vibrant, Daydreaming, and Illuminating. I can't wait to see what it has in store for me this month.

Nanette Nanette Lepore Classic Rose Gold Watch

$55.00

This watch is hands down my favorite item I have ever received from a subscription box ever. It is feminine, classic, yet still trendy, and I think a watch is the best way to complete any outfit. I don't really wear too many accessories, either, but I've always been drawn to watches. While it is rose gold, it isn't too pink, which makes me happy. Also, the watch face is large, but sleek, which does a good job of being feminine without being too girly. I honestly couldn't have found a watch I like more on my own, so I can't tell you how happy I am about this item. Also, the value of the watch is more than the cost of the box alone, so this is a winning item in my book.

Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty Minimal Makeup

$24.00

I've always thought of Pixi being a cheap brand, but this palette proves that to be incorrect. It may be affordable, but the makeup itself is high quality. It is medium pigmented, which I like the best, because I don't like my makeup to be too noticeable, but I also like it to be quick and easy. This medium pigment allows me to apply once and be done. Since this is a minimal makeup palette, it is also perfect for me. I like natural toned colors on my face to highlight features instead of drawing attention to the color alone. Two of the colors are just a little dark for me, but I otherwise really like this. I have a feeling a lot of subscribers are going to feel the same way.

Miss Ivy Pearl Five Tassel Necklace

$38.00

I do like statement jewelry, but this tassel necklace is just not my style. The colors are very springy, but I really feel like the tassel look is outdated, and this crafty styled necklace looks homemade. I don't know why PopSugar included this in the box. I think my mom may be happier with this piece, which isn't exactly PopSugar's target market. I'd pass this along to my sister, but I really don't even think she'd be happy with it. Instead, maybe I'll donate it, or put it in my families garage sale. This is a complete miss for me.

Govino Go-Anywhere Carafe and Water Glass Set

$14.95

PopSugar loves this brand, and I guess I can say that I do too. It is really affordable, but that is also because these pieces are plastic. I could see myself using this as a wine carafe to really open it up before we drink it, or I could put in the guest bedroom to make an extra special touch for any visitor. If you don't see yourself using it for either of those things, the cup could be a simple water glass, and the carafe could be made into a vase. I like this item, because it is something that I don't think I would ever purchase for myself, but I really like it, I will use it, and I'm happy to have it. Now, I just have to find storage somewhere in my overstocked, small kitchen.

Hello Extra Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste in Pure Mint

$4.49 - 4.2 oz

I've been able to sample this product before, without the whitening additives, and I was pretty impressed how well an all natural toothpaste could work. This toothpastes flavor is pretty good, makes breath fresh, but isn't too harsh. Also, this full size tube will last this household of two at least a month. I like this item, because it is probably a new discovery for most, it is practical, so everyone will use it, but it also has whitening abilities, so it will create a new, white smile. That is number two in my must have book after great skin tone. Also, I feel totally sheik using this toothpaste, so I can start the day on a great note.

Goodie Girl Cookies in Toffee Chaos

$4.99 - 6 oz

I am usually pretty excited about the food item in each month's box, but these don't appeal to me. I do like cookies, but toffee isn't my flavor of choice, and these seem to by too crispy, while I prefer chewy. These tasted alright for me, but if I am going to splurge on sweets, I am going to like it. I bet these would be better with coffee, and maybe I will just need something sweet in the house, and these will be the only thing available. Otherwise, they might just go uneaten. I don't even think my boyfriend will like these.

My Lola First Box Free Coupon

$10.00

These coupons usually mean that you have to spend money in order to use the coupon, but this offers your first box of tampons completely free, including shipping. These tampons are all natural, and they even like you assort your box on your own. That means you can choose all light, all medium, all heavy, or an assortment of the three. And that is down to a single digit. You could get 4, 8, and 18 if you like. But, you have to remember to cancel. This is a subscription, and if you don't cancel, and new one will be coming in the mail. I guess that wouldn't be the worse thing if you really enjoy them. I like this item, because it is again very practical, but it may be a new brand that you really love.

Overall, this is on the better side for all the boxes I've received in the past. Like a top five! I may hate the necklace, and the cookies aren't my taste, which isn't their fault, but I LOVE the watch, the palette is perfect for my skin, the carafe is fun, and the toothpaste and tampons are so practical. This box has a value of $151.43. That is really great for a $40 box. I like that the items are very springy and go pretty well the themes. I do not know where the Daydreaming theme goes or what that is about, but everything else fits perfect.

BoxyCharm March 2016 Review - Sweet Treats

My BoxyCharm has arrived for the month of March, and I am excited to check out all the new products they have in store for me. BoxyCharm is a monthly subscription box that offers at least four full size beauty products delivered to your door for only $21 a month. Also, it always has an insane value, and the products are usually high end and perfect additions to your beauty routine. I am really excited for lighter and brighter products that come with Spring, so I hope this month is full items to get me ready for this new season.

This month's theme is Sweet Treats. Easter is just around the corner, and the boarder reminds me of the jelly beans that come in your Easter basket each year. It says that sugar is sweet, but this box is sweeter, so I hope that box is full of items that I can wear and use around this holiday. I am thinking pastel candy colored makeup and sweet smelling perfume. BoxyCharm does a really great job of matching the products with the theme, so I know I am in store for some great new items.

Clark's Botanicals Anti-Puff Eye Cream

$87.00 - 0.5 fl oz

OMG! This one product is four times the cost of the box. The product tackles puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines. Also, this isn't just for under eyes. They recommend using this on forehead creases and fine lines. This is great news, because I have so many under eye creams, but my biggest problems are those early wrinkles around my mouth, on my forehead and under my eyes. I really hope this product works, because I now have plenty of it, and for the price, I would expect it to be legit. I love this product, and the value is insane. I am really happy with this box already.

$6.00 each - 1.8 g

I have never heard of the makeup brand Makeup Geek, but from what I can tell, it is has cool and high quality products. These eyeshadows are highly pigmented, and I mean HIGHLY PIGMENTED! I have never seen eyeshadow this pigmented. For me, these colors are just a little too warm. I have cool skin, so I could picture these colors working better for tan people. Also, these pans are meant to be put into a magnetic palette, which I do not have, but I could also just use these out of the paper case. I do like this product, but I only like the colors. I will throw these in with my other colors, but I probably won't reach for them that often. I am happy with these anyways. I hope we get more products from makeup geek in the future.

$18.00 - 0.09 oz

I am really excited about this product. I actually own some of Chella's other eyebrow products, and they are the first things I pull out of my makeup bag when I do my brows. At first, I thought this color might be too dark for my blonde eyebrows, but this actually was only a little darker than my natural color, which really fills them out and shows them off. Also, the little tip that you never have to sharpen makes the perfect small lines that can appear to be your own eyebrow hair. I love this pencil, and just like all my other Chella eyebrow products, I will be pulling this out of my bag over and over again. This is another great product in this month's box. Also, full size!!!

$16.00

While I do enjoy receiving makeup brushes in tools in my subscription boxes, unfortunately this one is just not for me. I have absolutely loved and continue to use some of my brushes from this box, but I just don't contour my face. I guess I could use this with my highlighter, but I don't really wear it too often. While this may not be for me, the brush itself is high quality, and it is vegan and cruelty-free. I think these are pretty high quality, and it is nice to receive a variation of brushes. I think I will keep this brush and see how it works into my beauty routine. If I don't end up using it, I will declutter it later.

$20.00 - 0.3 fl oz

I love trying out new perfumes, and I really like to wear different scents by my mood. It is newly spring, so I am ready to wear lighter and fruitier scents. This perfume has notes of ruby red grapefruit, nacho pear, orange blossom, and gardenia. This smells so great, and I love that it is elegant, but still light enough for spring. I could definitely picture myself wearing this at a cafe in Paris during these transition months, or even a coffee shop in my own neighborhood. Heck, I will probably wear this tomorrow for brunch. While I wouldn't normally go for this scent, I really enjoy it, and I will be wearing it all spring long. Plus, it is the perfect size to use up before it goes bad.

Overall, I really enjoy this month's bag. While two of the products aren't my favorite, they will probably go to use. Also, I absolutely love that wrinkle cream, the eyebrow pencil, and the perfume. This has a crazy value of $153. This box only cost $21, so that is eight times the cost. This box usually has an insane value, but this is just crazy. I really like BoxyCharm, and I am glad that I'm a subscriber. Plus, for every item that you don't love, they would make great gifts for one of your friends or someone in your family. I am sure they would be happy for the sweet surprise.

Birchbox March 2016 Review - Ladies First

Yea! My Birchbox is here! I absolutely love this subscription box, and I have discovered so many new brands and products that I love and have included in my beauty routine. Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that includes at least five beauty samples curated to your beauty profile for only $10 a month. Sometimes they even include full size items. Also, they have a fun theme with a cute box each month, and the samples usually go along well with that theme. I can't wait to see what samples Birchbox has in store for me this month.

I absolutely love this box. It is super cute and super springy, which really makes me sad, because as you can see, my dog decided to eat this one while I was at work. I usually like them to organize with them or display them around the house where that makes sense, but this one will instead go into the recycling bin. This month's theme is celebrating woman. It is both Women's History Month and International Women's Day fall in this month. All the products in this box will help amplify your unique features instead of cover them up. I love this theme and the message behind it. I also feel like these products are going to be awesome.

theBalm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen

$17.00 - 0.3 fl oz    ($2.27 Value)

I love theBalm brand. I've said it before, and I'll say it every time I receive one of their items in my Birchbox. I just get so excited about the product, no matter what it is. This lip stain is a barely there lip color, which I didn't expect but absolutely love. You can apply a little for a light pink lip, or layer it on for more of a red. This is an easy, and natural looking lip look that is perfect for those days that you won't be able to constantly reapply. Also, even though this is a small sample, it will last forever, just like every lip product. My one complain about it, though, is the stickiness of the product after you apply. I just fixed that my applying a moisturizer on top, but I wish I didn't have to do that. This does last all night, though, and I will be using it quite regularly.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

$19.50 - 5 oz    ($3.90 Value)

Kiehl's has been newly on my radar as of late, and I received my first product of their in my curated March Birchbox. But, it's more than that. My friends have been posting their products, they've been all over YouTube, and I've been hearing great things. I really like this cream cleanser, and it makes my face feel completely clean without drying it out. Also, this is a pretty large sample, so it will last me a while, and it would also be ideal for travel. I love this so much, and I might have to switch over to this once I run out of my regular brand. Great product for me! I am completely impressed.

Cargo Eye Shadow Duo in Beach & Bridge

$16.00 - 0.12 oz    ($13.33 Value)

This is another brand that I just love. My first item of theirs was a coral blush, and I use it all the time. This eye shadow duo contains a creamy gold and a shimmery dark mocha brown. I love both these colors a lot, and they work perfectly with my skin tone. I like that I can just wear the creamy gold for a quick all over look, or I could include the brown for a more smoky look. This duo would be perfect for travel, or even you go to quick look pallet. I keep a makeup kit in my car so I can meet up with friends straight from work, and this would be a perfect product to include. Also, this isn't a full size, since they don't sell these duos, but I'd much rather have these little tins than the palette anyways.

PARLOR by Jeff Chasten Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo & Conditioner

$22.00 each - 8 fl oz    ($3.88 Value)

Birchbox nailed it this month with getting my most loved beauty lines all together in one box. I am well aware of this line because of Birchbox, and I have loved everything they sent me. These products are super high end, they work really well as promised, and they also smell amazing. I have really flat, fine hair, so texturizing spray gives my hair the perfect amount of volume and movement. I also like that I can style it way easier, since my normal hair is super silky. This product didn't exactly give me the same results as a texturizing spray, but I did notice that my hair had a lot my volume and styling power than normal. I really like this shampoo, and I might even buy the full size item. I just wish that the conditioner were the same size.

Cartier Zeste de Soleil Eau de Toilette

$67.00 - 50 ml    ($2.01 Value)

Unlike most people, I really enjoy receiving samples of perfume in my subscription boxes. I always like trying new scents, and it is way easier to really get a good sense of the perfume on your own skin without having to try on many of them in the department store and not remembering which is which. Also, since I haven't been able to find a perfume that I absolutely love, it is great to try a new one out every once in a while. This is one that I like, but unfortunately, I'm not in love. It is really fresh, and exotic, and reminds me of Spring Break, so this would be something I'd be able to wear all Spring. With mostly passion fruit notes and a dash of mint, this scent will get your mind in gear for Summer. I wouldn't purchase this full item, but I am happy with this sample, and I will be getting good use out of it this time of year.

I am pretty happy with this month's box, and it is getting me in gear for Spring. That eye shadow is natural with a tropical vibe, and I love the facial cleanser. The shampoo and conditioner gave me effortless, beachy hair, and the perfume smells like something I could wear to a beach party. Also, the lip stain gives the perfect red lip, without the noticeable weight of lipstick. This month's box was a win, win, win! I will be use everything, and it all worked well with my skin, hair, and easy going look. This month's box has a value of $25.39. That is pretty normal for Birchbox, and isn't crazy good, but it isn't disappointing either. I don't love Birchbox for the value, but instead for the quality and perfectly matched products for me.
