Ipsy Glambag December 2016 Review - Carpe P.M.

Yea! My Ipsy Glambag has arrived for the month of December, and I am really excited to see what is in store for me this month. Ipsy is a monthly subscription box that delivers five sample and full size beauty products for hair, nails, skin, and face for only $10. Also, all the products come in a specially curated makeup bag with that month’s theme. Each bag has a value over $30, and they usually value around $50, so you really get your monies worth. Also, they send a wide range of products based on your beauty profile, so they are bound to send you items you love.

This month’s theme is Carpe P.M. With holiday parties all month long, and New Year’s Eve at the end of the month, we will all be pulling some late nights. And not just late nights, but glitz and glam and stay out until the bars close kind of nights. I am guessing these products are going to be filled with glitter and have pops of color. I wouldn’t be surprised for some morning after masks and hydration creams as well. This makeup bag is so fabulous. The outside fabric is a pink fringe, and the Ipsy label is a plastic plate. Normally, they aren’t anything too special, so this is so much fun. Since it is a little fancy, I would hate to toss makeup that would messy it up, but this is really too cheap to use as a clutch. I am going to brainstorm in the meantime.

Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco Deep Hydrating Treatment

$2.99 - 1.69 oz    (Full Size!)

I am already a huge fan of this deep conditioner, and love how it makes my hair look and feel. With ingredients like argan oil, keratin, and grape seed oil, this cream combats damage, breakage, split ends, dryness, dullness, and frizz. It also leaves hair hydrated and restored. Normally, I use this when my hair has become unmanageable, and it’s lost some of it’s luster. Within one use, my hair is looking renewed. I love keeping this product around, so this is much welcomed. Also, this would be a great product to get your hair ready for the holidays, and to cure it from all the damage of styling it once the holidays are over. I like trying new products from this subscription, but at least this is one I know I already love.

Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional face primer

$31.00 - 0.75 fl oz    ($4.23 Value)

This primer is a fan favorite, and I am actually surprised I haven’t had a chance to try it out yet. That is why this is probably the most exciting product in this box. With just a small dab, this product quickly minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines. It also leaves your face feeling very smooth. I really appreciate the versatility. You can apply this alone, under, or over makeup. Most primers are for under makeup only, but sometimes you need a smooth finish once it’s all over, so this will definitely come in handy. The icing on the cake, this protects skin from free radicals, which is great for my city living. I absolutely love this primer, and I understand the hype. Plus, this sample will last me quite a few uses, because you don’t have to use that much.

MicaBeauty Angle Eye Shadow Brush

$22.95

One of the perks of the Ipsy subscription are the amount of beauty tools they also include in their bags. I've received beauty blenders, eyelash curlers, and of course, a wide variety of brushes. This angle brush is absolutely perfect for getting those sharp creases or smudging out your shadow liner. I actually don't have one of these in my collection yet, so this is happily excepted. Also, this brush is great quality, and since I wouldn't spend this much on an angle eyeshadow brush, so it is great that I received it in this box. I don't think I will be using this that often, but it will definitely come in handy when I am really doing up my eye makeup.

NYX Professional Makeup Prismatic Shadow in Bedroom Eyes

$6.00 - 0.043 oz    (Full Size!)

I love natural colors on my face, because they compliment my skin tone really well, so I get really excited to receive them in my subscription boxes. But, this color is so much more. This bronze has a shimmer that appears like actual metal, and it really dresses up your eyes. I think this is a perfect shade for this time of year, because everything tends to glitter, and we have a lot to celebrate. I think this color would look great on it's own or mixed in with a complete eye look. Also, this is a full sized eyeshadow, so you know you will never run out of this beautiful color. This is a great item, and I am really excited Ipsy included it in my subscription this month.

Ciate London Liquid Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Pin Up

$19.00 - 6.5 ml    ($5.84 Value)

You may have heard it before, but I am not a fan of liquid lipstick. I do like how it lasts forever and they create the best matte finish, but they are so drying. I have to say, this isn't as drying as your normal liquid lipstick, but it definitely isn't my favorite tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately, even with this formula that doesn't dry out my lips, this isn't a color I am lusting over. It looks a little dated and matronly. That being said, I think I will pass this product off to a friend or someone in my family. I am sure they will enjoy it much more than me. On the plus side, this is a pretty big sample, and it will last you a while.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this month's Ipsy Glambag. Everything from the makeup bag to the products inside, I think they really did a great job. That Porefessional is a great discovery, and I am happy to have more organ oil treatment in my shower. That shadow will get used all the time, and that eyeshadow brush adds a lot of value. The only thing I'm not over the moon about is that liquid lipstick, but I'd say that's great odds. This month's bag has a value of $42.01, and that's not even including the makeup bag. That is pretty darn great for a subscription that cost $10. 2016 has been a great year for Ipsy, and I hope they continue to improve. I can't wait to see what the next year brings.

PopSugar Must Have December 2016 Review

Yeah! My Popsugar Must Have box has arrived for the month of December, and since holiday boxes are the best, I am really excited to see what’s inside. Popsugar Must Have is a monthly subscription box for $39.95 that delivers the best in beauty, fashion, fitness, home, food, and books for only $39.95. This box always has a value over $100, so it is worth what you pay, but they also offer discounted rates with longer subscriptions. I pay about $29.95 per box. This is one of my favorite subscription boxes, because they send a great variety of products most everyone will enjoy. Also, this box is the best way to spruce up your home, closet, and makeup cabinet at an affordable price. I can’t wait to see what this month has in store.

Instead of a theme, Popsugar has monthly inspirational words or phrases that they use to curate each box. This month’s inspirations are Festive, Snowy, White, Minimalist, Giving, and Celebrations. I think that these aren’t just great holiday themed words, but they are also great for the first winter month. I love seasons, even winter, so I love products that get me ready to embrace the cold. Also, I could always use some new products for the holidays. I am hoping for a sparkly accessory, an outdoor hat or scarf, and maybe some home décor themed around celebratory bubbly. I am really interested in seeing what the minimalist product may be. That is one word I would use to describe my style, so I know it will be great.

Odeme Catchall + Ring Dish Set

$67.00

This must be the minimalist item right here, as this stark white catchall would fit in perfectly with any crisp home décor. But that’s not all, this would work great with a classic or bold household design as well. Personally, it reminds me of Hollywood glam, as it would work great on your vanity to place all your perfume bottles and red lipsticks. Popsugar also believes this would be great for your night stand or desk as well, but I will be putting it on the shelf next to the front door, as that is where we like to throw mail, keys, and wallets. The additional smaller dish would be great to carry any loose change. I love this design, and it goes great with my décor. Even as a catchall, this really pulls my room together and gives a home to everything.

Baublebar Snowfall Pendant

$28.00

I think every single girl loves Baublebar, as their jewelry is great quality and always on trend. This “snowfall” pendant necklace is both classic and flashy with its globe circular pendant and mirrored reflection. It is pretty long, which is a bummer, because I’ve been into chocker styles lately, but at least I know it won’t go out of style anytime soon. I think this would look great with a lighter sweater or with a low neckline. This isn’t my favorite piece of jewelry Popsugar has ever sent, but it is much better than some. Plus, I think this is a great piece for winter, but can also be worn into spring and summer as well.

Mane Message Date Night Bobby Pins

$10.00

I am a huge bobby pin wearer, and I especially love pinning my curls back for a night out, so these glitter bobby pins are absolutely perfect for me. Also, since I tend to get dressed up even more often this time of year, I’d say that these will get a lot of use. I love the silver and gold, which would match any night out look, while the pink plated bobby pin is great for everyday use. These are a little larger than I am used to, so I’ll have to play with them a little, but that is definitely the style. I love these bobby pins, and while they aren’t a huge item, they could possibly be my favorite. I will be getting a lot of use out of these.

Winky Lux Lip Pill in Bunny

$14.00 - 0.14 oz

I don’t usually look forward to makeup products as much, because I have so much of everything, and I’ll never be able to go through what I have, but this lipstick is so freaking cute, and I have to say, it is an amazing color. This dark, reddish-pink is so beautiful, and I love it for the holidays. I could see this working great for Christmas Eve dinner, or even New Year’s Eve. It is really versatile. Also, this packaging is the cutest. It is shaped like a pill, and I will feel so chic pulling this out of my purse and reapply at a party or dinner. The icing on the cake, this is a matte finish with moisturizer. I love matte lips, but I hate how dry it feels. This looks great without drying me out. I love this lipstick, and I know it will be in a small rotation this month.

Sisters' Gourmet Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix

$7.00 - 11.8 oz

This food item is exactly what I’d expect from a holiday box. These cookie ingredient jars have been around quite a bit these last few years, but they have grown with popularity in the last few months. I think these are perfect for this time of year for a few reasons. First, cookies are a must for the holidays. My mother is in the kitchen every night the week before Christmas making a ton of goodies, and cookies are my first pick. Second, the holidays are hectic enough, so anyway to simplify is appreciated. Since most of the ingredients are already included, it is easy to whip these together and throw them in the oven. Third, if you aren’t a fan of cookies (who isn’t, though), this would make a great gift to a coworker or delivery man. This is a great food item for the month, and I can’t wait to make them this weekend.

Dessange Top Coat Serum

$12.00 - 3.4 oz

When you have dull hair, it can really drag down your entire look, but this product will make it shine again. With ingredients like vitamin E, this product will help bring shine back while protecting color. In the summer, the sun does a lot of terrible things to my shine and color, so this product will be great for me, just not this time of year. I will say, I tried it out, and it worked instantly. My hair was much shinier and looked really healthy. Also, it smells really nice, so I wouldn’t mind using this all the time. I am sure other girls have the hair winter blues, but I will be saving this for those hot summer days. I don’t think this is my favorite item in the box, but it will definitely get used.

This month’s box wasn’t the most exciting thing, and they didn’t hit it out of the park, but I really liked a lot of the products. Those trays will look great in my house, and it will be so nice to organize some of those things that don’t have a home. Those bobby pins and that lipstick are both great as well. I also like the necklace, cookie mix, and hair serum, but I could also go without. This month’s box has a value of $138. That is great for only paying $30, and I think that well paid for those items that I really enjoy. I am kind of bummed this wasn’t more holiday themed, but I will say everything can be regifted. The next box is a new year, and I am hoping for some refreshing and renewing products for 2017.

If you would like to try Popsugar Must Have for yourself, just click here. It is a great way to treat yourself, but it also makes a great present as well.

Birchbox December 2016 Review - Shine On!

Yea! My last Birchbox has arrived for 2016, and since holiday boxes are my favorite, I am really excited to see what it inside. Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription box that delivers five samples, and sometimes full size products, of the best in hair, nails, face, body, and makeup all around a monthly theme. They curate their boxes around your beauty profile, so you are bound to get products that you love and will use. I feel like Birchbox knows me best out of all the boxes I receive, and I’ve discovered so many great products and brands that are now everyday products in my beauty routine. I can’t wait to see what Birchbox has in store for me for December, and I hope to find some new favorites.

This month’s theme is Shine On! These brilliant products will help you shine your brightest all through December. I love this theme, because everything is shiny this month, from holiday decorations to New Year’s Eve dresses, and these products will help you look your best for those holiday parties and every day between. I am hoping for some great mascara or highlighter and possibly some moisturizer to keep my skin looking great. This box design is also great for the holiday season. It looks like a couture gift all wrapped up, and in a way, this box is a little gift to myself every month. I think I am going to use this to wrap up someone else’s present. Why not reuse?!

Birchbox is also getting into the giving sprit, and each box includes some cut out gift cards and a pocket mirror. I love these little extras, and while they aren't expensive, they are both very practical and will definitely be used. What a special gift from Birchbox to all their subscribers.

$18.00 - 6 ml    ($12.00 Value)

I’m already a huge fan of this brow gel, and perfect timing really, because I just ran out. This brow gel has the perfect medium hold to keep those lashes in place without making them appear hard or crunchy. Also, this dries absolutely clear and doesn’t flake, so this would be the great top coat to your brow pencil. Personally, I feel like it does a great job blending in those drawn in lines to create a professionally done look. I love this brow gel, and it is my favorite out of the few I’ve tried, Plus, this will last me a while, so I won’t have to restock for a few months. What a great start to this month’s box.

$5.99 - 1 mask    (Full Size!)

I absolutely love receiving masks, especially sheet masks in my subscription boxes, because I would normally never purchase them on my own, because they aren’t always too cheap, but I love using them after my skin is looking a little down or after a long weekend. This sheet mask is enriched with a main ingredient known as “miracle oil.”  This Himalayan camellia flower oil smooth rough and congested skin while other ingredients minimize pores, soothes irritated skin, and visibly reduces fine lines and discoloration. Most of the sheet masks I have left mainly tackle dry skin, so it is nice to see a mask that will take care of other issues. I think this mask will be perfect to use before New Year’s Eve, or possibly after to cure your skin’s hangover.

$23.00 - 150 ml    ($3.83 Value)

I have the driest feet, especially during the winter, and they can get pretty itchy, so this foot cream is well appreciated. With main ingredients jojoba oil, chamomile, and aloe vera, this thick cream hydrates, soothes inflammation and soreness, purifies, and eliminates bacteria. Anytime I find a foot cream that deeply hydrates, but also renews, I am all in. Also, this smells nice and refreshing, so it even perfumes my feet slightly. I really like this cream, and I would think about repurchasing. Unfortunately, this sample won’t last me too many uses, which is a bummer. I will have to save this to get my shoes ready for New Year’s Eve heels after weeks of wool socks.

$10.00 - 0.05 oz    (Full Size!)

I love that Birchbox has their own beauty lines, so they are way more reluctant to not only send out full size products, but they also tend to send them often, so I can get a great assortment. I have a few of these in my collection, and they are go to products, so when I saw this sample choice, I knew I had to add it in my collection. This LOC shadow stick can be used as a single color for those rushed mornings, or with your own shadow palette to create a multi-color look. I think they have great basic colors, and they are so simple to use that you really can’t go wrong. What I really like about this color is the multiuse capability. You can use this as a highlighter or on your brow bone to lift your face. This pearl shade is perfect for the holidays as well.

$20.00 - 3.2 oz    ($6.25 Value)

Klorane is one of my all time favorite hair brands, and I am a dry shampoo user, so this product is perfect for me. This dry shampoo is made with oat milk, corn, and rice starches to soak up grease, volumize, and cleanse your day two (or three) hair. It also soaks up sweat and can be used as a texturizer, so this can go into your gym bag or for those updos as well. I think this does a great job at making my hair look freshly washed, but it also smells amazing. That is good for second day hair as well, as that fresh shampoo scent has long disappeared. This is a smaller sample for dry shampoo, so it won’t last me too many uses, so I think I may save this for actual travel, because those regular sized bottles are ginormous.

Overall, I am really happy with this month’s box, and it is one of my favorites of all time. They did a really great job of curating a box I would love, and it is filled with items and brands I would definitely pick out on my own, if I knew they all existed. I have to say, I tried to pick out my favorite item, but they are all winners in my mind. This box has a value of $38.07. That is pretty great for a box that only cost $10, and that is not including the little extras. I am in love with this box and this subscription, and they really ended 2016 with a bang! Hopefully the new year will be just as amazing.

If you would like to try Birchbox for yourself, just click here. It is a great way to treat yourself or a loved one with beauty products all year round.

Popsugar Must Have CFDA 2016 Review

My Popsugar CFDA 2016 box has arrived, and I am even more excited than usual for this subscription box unboxing! Popsugar delivers special editions of their boxes a couple times a year alone with their monthly subscription boxes. These are more expensive, but offer much higher end products at a much higher value. This box originally went on sale in May for $225, but I received an amazing coupon much later in the year and only paid $105. I wouldn’t normally splurge like this, but it was such a great price, and I loved everything inside, so I couldn’t pass up on this amazing deal. I can’t wait to poke through everything!

This is the second year Popsugar curated a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) box, which is a nonprofit devoted to help deliver the voice and art of designers across this nation. The products inside are the most fashionable pieces for summer, so you’ll definitely be styling. Also, 50% of proceeds are donated to this operation. That is a great cause, and you can really feel good about splurging on yourself. Just like the monthly box, it goes with a descriptive card foldout to give more details and prices about each item. I reading these to know more about each product but also keeping them as reminders.

$198.00

I live next to the ocean, and it is beautiful here most months of the year, so beach wear is a must in my wardrobe. I often don’t know what to wear while lounging by the sea, as I don’t want to overexpose my skin, but my street clothes are just too heavy. This cover-up is the perfect resolution. It is super light and breezy, but still covers me from neck to knees. Also, it is really cute. I love that it could easily double as a dress if I were to head to the outdoor bar after catching some rays. These colors are perfect and really trendy as well. I love this cover-up, and it will be a must in my beach bag. Also, this is double I paid on the box, so what a deal!

$195.00

Every girl could use a makeup pouch for their vanity, travel, or even your workout bag, so this is already a really practical item. Also, this is really high quality and made with real leather. The quality does mirror the price, though, and I would never even consider spending this much on a makeup bag. I have a feeling, fans of Phillip Lim wouldn’t mind that price tag on the other hand. The front of the bag has a really fun quote, “Stop and smell the flowers,” which is perfect for summer, and I think every girl would enjoy that saying. This pouch fits in the category of, I would never pay that much for this item, but I am happy to receive it in this box. To be honest, it just adds to the value.

$32.00

I have never owned, used, let alone, heard of S’well bottles, but I guess they are a fan favorite, and I am starting to understand why. First, they are really nice quality. They can keep liquid hot or cold for hours, which is really nice when it is sweltering hot or bitter cold, and you want your drink to cool you down or heat you up. Also, it is quite heavy, which means it is durable. I could see myself bringing this with me on a hiking trip or filling it with hot coco for those chilly football tailgates. This design is really cute, but it isn’t exactly my style, which is a bummer. That won’t keep my from using it, I just won’t be using it as much. I think this will go in my beach bag as well.

$95.00

I am a big fan of fragrance collection sets, because I love mixing up my scent by my mood and occasion, so large bottles are a way too much for me. These trial size perfume bottles offer you about 20 uses each, but since I switch it up so often, they really last forever. Also, these are larger than your normal trial size bottle, so this could last about 30 uses each. There is a great range on scents too. This collection has everything from your woodsy musk to your flowery eau de perfume. This set is one of my favorite items in this box, and I will be using this collection forever. If you wanted, these can be split up to add to the packages of gifts for friends or coworkers around the holidays.

$28.00 - 4.4 oz

I am a millennial, so the Olsen twins are a part of my childhood. Now that they are grown up, their products have grown up too, and this is a great representation of their higher end brand. While I prefer dry shampoo that's main job is to soak up oil, this does a great job at adding a refreshing scent and giving hair an extra dose of volume. First of all, this scent is amazing, and one of my favorite of all time. Also, one light spray leaves my hair smelling amazing for hours, even without washing it for a few days. I would never purchase this product at this price, but I am happy I received one in this box.

$177.00

This is my favorite item in this box, and it could be my all time favorite item I've ever received in a subscription box ever. This packaging was amazing, this really sturdy, and possibly a little too large of a case came inside another thick box, so if these shades aren't the best for your face shape, they would make a great gift. Second, these glasses are perfect. The mirrored lens give the hollywood glam appeal, but the club master shape is as classic as aviators. Also the tortuous shell coloring makes these glasses perfect for every outfit. I will be wearing these for seasons to come, and they will definitely be the first shades I throw on before I leave the house.

This box was downright amazing. This was the first time I've received a special edition Popsugar box, and I definitely started on the right note. Those sunglasses were perfect, and I will use each and every single one of those perfumes. Also, trips to the beach will be much more enjoyable with that coverup and water bottle. That dry shampoo isn't exactly your normal dry shampoo, but it will definitely get used. The only item I'm not in love with is the pouch, but it will still come in handy. I just feel like I shouldn't messy up such an expensive item. This month's box has a value of $725, which is incredible. I paid only $105 on this box, and this has a value seven times that, so this really can't get any better.

If you would like to try Popsugar Must Have for yourself, just click here. It is a great way to treat yourself, and they make a great gift as well.

BarkBox November 2016 Review - Home for the Holidays

Yeah! My dog’s Barkbox has arrived for the month of November, and with the holiday is full swing, I am in the gift giving mood, and my dog makes it to the top of my list, so this box is the perfect way to receive great toys and treats at a great price. Barkbox is a monthly subscription box that delivers toys and treats to my door with a monthly theme for only $20 a month. (I went with the 12 month plan, but other plans are more expensive.) They also have three variations for your different sized dogs. I always opt for the medium sized dog box, as he is 25 pounds, and they do a great job of delivering gifts perfect for him.

This month’s theme is Home for the Holidays. Since we have the iconic Thanksgiving right around the corner, I think this is a great theme for this month. We are all traveling back home for a four day weekend, and my dog will be right by my side. I hope these toys and treats will be great for traveling back home as well. The box comes with an information card each month as well, and while they don’t go into detail about all the products in your box, they do go over many of the items. Also, there are so many cute cartoons and funny quotes, I really just enjoy reading it each month.

Rocco & Roxie Supply Co Turkey Jerky Sticks

$8.00 - 5 sticks

One thing I love giving my dog, and my dog loves receiving, are jerky sticks. Treats get gobbled down so quickly, and within seconds he is begging for more, but these jerky sticks keep him occupied for at least an hour, and he loves chewing on these multiple nights in a row. Sometimes he won’t eat it all and “hide” it in the corner for later. There are only five sticks in this pouch, but they are larger than he is used to, so they will last. Also, this resealable bag keeps them fresh. I don’t know what this has to do with being home for the holidays, but he will definitely enjoy them.

Bark & Co Pepper's Pumpkin Pie

$8.00

My all-time favorite dessert on Thanksgiving is pumpkin pie, so I think this is the perfect toy for this box and it is really so cute. This is a harder stuffed toy, which is perfect for tossing and shaking, but since it isn’t cheaply made, my dog will have a little bit of an issue breaking this one open. Other than the cute shape and even cuter whip cream topping, this toy is nothing special, (no pull or squeak), but my dog will still really enjoy this. And, I won’t even mind it lying around on the ground, unlike his other less cute toys.

Butcher's Block Bones Knuckle Slice

$4.00

I have never bought such a treat for my dog, since they are usually really expensive and immediately and little threatening. I think of my dog as an innocent vegan most of the time, so treats like this show me his real wild side. I like that this resembles something that we would be serving at our dinner table, so he doesn’t have to be left out. Also, this is quite heavy, which means it will take him quite a while to munch down. I will probably give this to him while we are eating our Thanksgiving dinner, or to possibly keep him occupied while we are at the in-laws. In all, I really enjoy this addition, and I know he will as well.

Bark & Co Nana's Leftover Sammy

$12.00

I cannot get over how freaking cute this toy is, and again how perfect it is for this holiday. This sandwich has all the fixings of Thanksgiving leftovers, which is familiar to all of us. Also, the ingredients are stacked separately with a stretchy elastic in the middle, so this stuffed toy doubles as a tug. My dog will absolutely love this multiuse toy, since he always wants to tug, toss, and shake all within the same play period. Honestly, I may love it more, because it is so cute. I think this is the winner for this month’s box, and seriously a reason I subscribe in the first place.

Sawmill Creek Smokehouse Pig Ear Chew

$3.00

This box has been pretty great, until I got to this treat. I really can’t stand looking at these, let alone feed them to my dog. It is just too weird for me. Actually, he has a bag full of these ears that were gifted to him that I won’t give him. Another bummer, this makes three raw hide treats, and I am really wishing we had some grain or smaller treats. I guess I will have to suck it up and start handing these out, since I really don’t think I’ll just throw them away. He will definitely enjoy them more than myself.

Overall, this is a pretty good box for the holiday season. I think the toys were perfect, but the treats missed the target slightly. Other than the knuckle slice, nothing really went with the theme, which is strange for Barkbox. This month’s box has a value of $35. That is pretty good for a box that cost $20, but I would be a little bummed if I spent any more than that. Toys and treats are expensive in stores as well, so I did get quite a bit at a cheap price. That does make me happy.

If you would like to try Barkbox for yourself, just click here. It is a great way to treat your favorite fur baby, especially around the holidays.

Target Beauty Box November 2016 Review - Beauty Ballot

Yeah! My Target Beauty Box has arrived for the month of November, and I am really excited about checking out all the beauty products this month. Target Beauty Box is not exactly a subscription box, because you have to purchase each one separately, but like a subscription box, they come out every month and deliver full size beauty products and some samples to your door for $5, $7, or $10 depending on the value of the box. This box was originally $10, but it dropped to $7, so I had to swoop it up quickly. They usually have a value around $20, so it nice value, but mostly it’s a great way to try out new products from your favorite brands, or those affordable higher end brands.

Now, Target Beauty Box has a theme, as they originally didn’t, but the themes don’t really work with their products. I’d say, the items inside are mostly curated by the season, which is still nice. This month’s theme is ??? I like that it goes along with the most important event of this month, really this year, but it is a sad reminder at how the elections ended. Target also delivers an itemized card with each of their products. They don’t list prices, since they change from region to region, but they do include a little description of everything inside. These are fun to hold onto for reminders on what you loved or didn’t. I can’t forget about the coupon within each box as well.

$3.57 - 12.6 oz    ($0.48 Value)

This isn’t the first time I’ve been sent let alone tried this this product, but I am not sad to see yet another sample in this box. This thickening shampoo takes what you love about L’Oreal products and adds a volumizing agent to give your hair an extra lift. I have very fine and flat hair, so any volumizing I can get is a plus. Also, this shampoo works great as it cleans my scalp and leaves my hair shiny. I am going to hold onto this sample for those travel days that I need a great shampoo on the go. I would definitely consider purchasing the full size product, they just have to stop sending it to me first.

$24.99 - 1.7 oz    ($5.88 Value)

This satin soft cream is created with alpine rose, pomegranate, and aloe vera to naturally tone, soothe, nourish, and revive sensitive skin. At first use, I was amazed by the smell. It is soft, yet beautiful, and make the product feel more luxurious. Second, the cream is really light, which makes it perfect for wearing underneath makeup. Unfortunately, though, during these colder months, I prefer something a little thicker and more hydrating. I do like that this is made without GMOs and gluten. I will say, as well, I did notice my face toning down on the redness when using this. I think I will keep this for next spring, when I prefer something lighter, but it will get used up quickly then.

$1.99 - 1.75 oz    (Full Size!)

This is a product that we all know and love, and icing on the cake, as it is our first full size product. I’m not a fan of the packaging (who likes foil holders), but I am obsessed with this product. The hair mask also doubles as a deep conditioner and can even replace your daily conditioner once or twice a week. I love how it leaves my hair super soft and ultra shiny. I swear I get compliments when I use this. Also, it smells great, and stays with your hair all day long. I sometimes still smell it at night when I’m cuddled up on the couch. Even though this isn’t a new discovery, I am excited to receive more of this product, and this pouch will last me a few uses.

$24.00 - 5 ct    ($4.80 Value)

Again, this is the second time I’ve received this item from Target, but instead of complaining, I am thrilled. I absolutely love this gel mask, because it feels higher quality than your typical sheet mask, but also leaves your skin completely hydrated and refreshed. I think this is the perfect product for this time of year, because this dry and cold weather leaves my skin super dry, but it also helps cure and dispose of any redness created by that harsh wind. Even though this is usually sold in a pack, I consider this a full size product, since they are normally sold separately, which makes it an even greater addition to this month’s box.

$23.99    ($6.00 Value)

I am a fan of W3ll products, especially since they are mostly all natural, and really care about the environment and animals. Also, their products match the quality and effectiveness of most higher end brands. This highlighter normally comes in a stick, which would be much easier for applying, especially with this thicker cream formula, but I was still able to get this product where I wanted to apply on my face. I usually skip the highlighter step, since I already use blush or bronzer, but this left a beautiful opal color that really let my face pop. I think this would be perfect for Christmas parties and of course New Year’s, which is right around the corner.

$5.99 - 0.24 fl oz    (Full Size!)

The one thing I will never skip before leaving the house is a swipe of mascara. My lashes have to stand out, and I am always looking for bigger and more beautiful lashes. This volumizing primer goes on before your mascara and plumps them up before you even add a layer of color. You could even wear this alone to give your lashes more volume, but avoiding any extra color. With just one use, I am really excited about this product. It does such a great job of adding volume without the clumping that normal goes with. Also, this is a full size product, and is almost the cost of the box itself, so what a great value.

$5.99 - 0.01 oz    (Full Size)

I am glad I didn’t see this until the end, because while I am a fan of every single think in this box, this would be my one hiccup. I rarely wear eyeliner, maybe once a month, and I receive so many of them in my subscription boxes that it would be impossible to go through them all. That being said, for a drug store brand, this eyeliner does work really well. I was able to create nice line, and it did last all night. I really wish I would stop receiving so much eyeliner, but maybe I could pass this along to a friend that would really appreciate it.

Overall, I really enjoy this month’s box. That eyelash primer is a complete win, and the gel and hair masks are two products that I loved and happy to receive again. That shampoo will definitely be used on my next trip, and the brightener will be a great touch over the holidays. I really enjoy that day cream as well, but I will have to save it for warmer months. The only flop was the eyeliner, but it did add to the value of the box. On that note, this month’s box has a value of $31.13. That is great for only spending $7.00 total, and I will use all the product but one. This was a great box, but I wish it matched this fall month a bit better. I can’t wait for
