Bark Box January 2017 Review - Pup in the Air

My dog’s Bark Box has arrived for the month of January, and even though he absolutely does not need any more treats or toys after all his holiday gifts, he can’t help but get excited. Bark Box is a monthly subscription that delivers toys and treats for your dog of any size for only $29 a month. I decided to go with the yearly subscription, so each box only costs me $21. My dog loves this box, and seriously I do too. The toys and treats are all high quality, and I can’t help buy spoil my dog. He deserves it.

My favorite part of this subscription box are the themes. Bark Box does a really great job matching their toys and treats with the theme, and they are always so clever and fit perfectly with the month. This month’s theme is "Pup in the Air." The items inside will get your dog ready to travel, rather it be in the car for errands, or across the world for holiday. This may be the first time I don’t find the theme fitting with the month, because I tend to stay close to home after the last few months of holiday travel. Also, the weather isn’t the best, so staying off the roads is ideal. But, I have a feeling this theme is going to deliver some cute and fun items.

$10.00

Just as I expected, this toy fits perfectly with the theme, and is also pretty darn cute. It is super fluffy with a few squeaks, so this toy would be ideal for tossing, chewing, or cuddling. My dogs does all the above with his most beloved toys, so I think this will fit into the rotation nicely. This size is perfect for my dog, as well, and I think because it is on the large size, it won’t just be one of his favorites, but it will also last longer. This plane will be the perfect travel companion no matter where he goes.

$8.00 – 4.2 oz

My dog isn’t the biggest fan of crunchy treats, but then again, he will eat basically anything. Also, since they are crunchy, they crumb, so I wouldn’t think they would be the best thing to eat while indoor traveling. This may be a better treat while enjoying outdoor activities, or while at home in the kitchen. I do appreciate the natural ingredients, and since he doesn’t already have a snack like this, it will be a nice addition to his treat rotation. I do appreciate that these go along with the theme as well.

$10.00

Bark Box has done it again with their toys that don’t only go along with the theme and are super cute, but they really think about what a dog wants and uses. This duffel bag is a tough tugger or chewer, and once he breaks it open, which you know he will, there are two tennis balls waiting for him inside. I love this concept, since the toy won’t be ruined once he technically breaks it, and the balls make great chew toys while inside the duffel.

$8.00 – 5.5 oz

These party chewy / part crunchy treats are exactly what my dog ordered, and he is already in love. Personally, I like that they take a little longer to eat than your average treat, so he can actually savor them, and the plane shapes are super cute. They work perfectly with the theme, and they are actually great for travel. This bag will last him a while, unless he is a super good dog, and these are always great to have for tricks or potty time. What a fun addition.

$3.00

Bark Box always includes five full size items, but the fifth is usually a smaller item. This jerky stick is the perfect example. While this is only a one time use treat, I love having these around for nights in when there isn’t much going on, but he still deserves extra love. I appreciate that these are made with all natural ingredients, since it is important for the whole family to eat healthy. These are nice to have, and I much prefer these sticks to chews such as pig ears.

Overall, I am really happy with this box. The last three months were over the top cute, so this one may seem just alright in comparison, but as a stand alone, it is great. I love the two toys, and the variety of use. Also, they delivered a good variety of treats as well. This month’s box has a value of $39. I am pretty happy with that amount, especially since I only paid $21. If I paid the full price of $29, I wouldn’t be as excited. I can’t wait to see what next month has in store for me and the pup.

Popsugar Must Have January 2017 Review

Yea! My Popsugar Must Have box has arrived for the month of January, and I am really excited to see what 2017 has in store for me. Popsugar is a monthly subscription box that delivers the best of beauty, fashion, home, fitness, books, and food. It costs $39.95 per box, but if you subscribe for longer lengths, it is quite less expensive. I pay only $29.95, for example. This box is one of my favorites, because they stick to the seasons quite well and deliver great products from all the categories. Also, this box always has a value over $100, so it is really worth the cost. I loved last year’s January box, so I cannot wait to see what they have in store for me this time around.

Popsugar Must Have doesn’t have a theme, but instead words of inspiration. This month’s words are New, Fresh, Detox, Motivation, Healthy, and Revitalize. I love the new year, because it is all about starting fresh, and being a better you. But, it is also about relaxing after the holidays, and taking weekends for yourself to pamper and revamp. I love these inspirational words, and they are leading up to a great box. I am hoping for a workout item, since it’s been a while before we received one, and possibly some at home spa products. A calendar is always nice in the new year as well. I am hoping for a real detox food item as well.

Goldfaden MD Fresh A Peel Multi Acid Resurfacing Peel

$85.00 - 1.7 fl oz

I am really excited to see a peel in this month’s subscription box, and this product already covers the cost of the box, twice. This highly rated face peel promises to exfoliate while reducing the appearance of fine lines, pores, and skin imperfections. It will also clear your face of dead skin, which will make your appearance brighter and more rejuvenated. It is made with natural ingredients, and takes only a few minutes to use. I used this once, and I was surprised at how great my skin looked and felt. Also, it had a cooling effect, which made me feel even more refreshed. I love this peel, and this huge bottle will last me forever. I think I will be doing this once a week in hopes of more beautiful skin. What a great start to this box.

May Designs 2017 Desk Calendar & Notecards

$25.00

I was hoping for a calendar, and this one is perfect. Each month is a different design and color, so it will be fun to switch it up, but it is modern and simple enough to go with many different styles. While some month’s don’t fit perfectly with my personal style, I know the next month will (March, September, come on!!). Another fun addition, after the month is over, these can be cut in half and used as notes or note cards. I think this adds the perfect amount of brightness to my desk, and it really keeps me organized, two things that are musts in my life. They are versatile as well. I considered hanging these with push pins on my wall at work. Therefore, you can see every month at once. That would be idea for the person without a lot of desk space.

Daily Concepts Your Hair Wrap Towel

$18.00

Two of the inspirational words are “fresh” and “revitalize,” but I didn’t realize that we would be getting an actual shower product. This hair wrap towel is super soft, and it’s fabric will help your hair dry faster. After tossing your hair inside, and pulling up over your head, and fastening the loop to the button. This will keep it in place until it’s time to get it into shape. This isn’t a product I would normally use, as I don’t like to keep it up in a towel for long, but I could see this working great for hair treatments or with a product you’d like to sleep in. I will keep this in the bathroom, though, and who knows, I may love it. It is something I don’t have at least.

Manduka eQua Mat Towel in Playa

$38.00

I had a feeling we would be receiving a workout related product, and this mat towel is the perfect accessory. This absorbent, quick-drying, and slip-resistant towel goes on top of your mat to hold you in place, and to keep your mat clean while working those muscles. I didn’t know I needed this product until I had it. The towel is quite grippy, and I was shocked at how well it stuck to my mat. Also, I feel like my sweat made it work better. I have slipped while just using a mat a few times, and it doesn’t always feel good. This will prevent any further damage. I will say, I don’t like how I stretch it out while my feet and hands are both on the mat, but it won’t stay perfect forever. Also, this blue is super calming. It just makes yoga work for me that much more.

Sourcebooks, Inc Instant Happy Notes

$8.99

2016 was a rough year for many of us, and I am hoping 2017 will be much better, but we all need a pick me up every once in a while, and these instant happy sticky notes will bring a smile to anyone’s face. I like the wide range of quotes, sayings, and motivational words, so these can fit any occasion. There is even one for your true love. I don’t care for the perforated top, though. They look sloppy when you remove these from the stack, which is not what I want my happy note to do. I will keep these at work and pass them out when I know a coworker is in need. These would also be fun to stick in your kid’s lunches or maybe your husband’s wallet. Just a cute surprise.

Dean & Deluca Peppermint Loose Leaf Tea

$10.75 - 1.75 oz

Finally, Popsugar didn’t include a sugar-loaded food item, and instead when for a healthy route. This aromatic peppermint tea will help you wind down after a long day with soothing and refreshing menthol flavor. Also, it will help aid digestive benefits, so it will help cleanse your body. I think this is the ideal after dinner tea, which is the ideal time to aid your stomach but also wind down. Peppermint tea also helps with acne, and I drink it Every. Single. Day. so this will just restock what I already have. This tea item may be annoying to those who don’t have a tool for loose herbs, but it will be a fun excuse to go out and buy a cute one. I love this item, and I have a feeling a few tea drinkers are going to like this as well.

Glade N*3 Free Candle in Coconut and Beach Woods

$4.99 - 4.2 oz

This “Special Extra” candle is made from your household brand Glade, and is quite impressive for the price. It smells fresh with coconut, ocean, and woods notes, so that works for this month, but it may be just a little too summery for me during this time of year. But, for those of you craving the sun, this may just bring you out of your funk. I am really impressed with the soy burning wax, and the jar doesn’t even note the Glade brand, so none of your friends have to know it only cost $5. I really like this special extra, and it makes me think differently about the brand. This will be the perfect addition to my relaxing January.

Overall, this month’s box is nice. Last year, January was one of my favorites of all time, so I had high hopes. I’m in love with the peel, and that mat towel is nice as well. I will definitely get good use out of the calendar, and that tea will make me feel great. I am also quite pleased with the candle, but I will put it away until summer. The hair towel and the happy notes aren’t something that I would normally use, but they will be fun to work into my routine. Everything was nice, but nothing was exciting, except the peel that is. This box has a value of $190.73, which is absolutely crazy, since I only spent $30 on these items. Personally, I wouldn’t have purchased all of them on my own, but this makes up for my favorite items by a long shot. I can’t wait to see what next month’s box has in store for me.

If you would like to try Popsugar Must Have, just click here. It is a great way to treat yourself with the best of pop culture, every single month.

Sephora Play! January 2017 Review - Ready, Set, Glow

Yea! My Sephora Play! has arrived for the month of January, and I am really excited to see what this month has in store. Sephora Play! is a monthly subscription box that delivers six beauty samples (one a perfume) to your door in a specialized drawstring bag for only $10 each. The products are all items sold at Sephora and range in makeup, skin care, nail, hair, and perfume. It took me a while to get on board with this subscription, but after seeing reviews of the products, and the value of the box, I jumped in, and I am hooked. This is a new year and a fresh start, so I am excited to see what is in store to start this year off.

This month’s theme is “Ready, Set, Glow.” I love this theme, and I think it is the perfect way to blend the new year fitness fad with your beauty routine. These products will help your face and skin match that new body after eating right and working out. Also going along with the theme, this drawstring bag is so adorable. They are normally a cotton cloth, but this one is made out of your workout bag fabric, and the other side is mesh. The front of the bag says, “Sweat is just another way to glow.” I think this would be a great bag to fill with those after workout touch up items and throw in with your gym clothes. I am already enjoying this theme, so I hope the products live up to this.

$17.00 - 0.07 oz    ($9.71 Value)

Clinique is such a classic brand, and I love receiving their products in my Sephora box. They seriously remind me of my mother and classic beauty. But, this isn’t your normal Clinique product. This lipstick is a dark berry brown color, and a little shocking at first. It is so dark, and I don’t normally wear such colors, so I was a little bummed. But, then I tried it out, and it goes on much lighter then the tube. Actually, quite a bit lighter, and after building it, it only turns to a medium, cherry red. I am really happy with this product, and this tube is quite large as well. I am throwing this in my purse now. Also, this color is perfect for a fresh start and these winter months.

$32.00 - 2.4 oz    ($6.67 Value)

I have the Ouai curling spray, and it is my all-time favorite hair product. It smells amazing, and gives my hair that perfect touch of waves, and that is from someone who has pin straight hair. This hair mask repairs damaged hair, increases resistance to future damage, and mends split ends. For those who dye their hair, this will help protect color as well. I like to use deep conditioners about once a week, so this fits into my normal beauty routine. Also, it smells like their other products, and this tube will be good enough for a few uses. I think this is a great way to start the new year off fresh, and I can’t wait to try it out.

$22.00 - 1 oz    ($4.84 Value)

I was so confused with this product after first pulling it out of the box, but now that I understand what it does, I am obsessed. This friction stick is a three-in-one facial cleanser, exfoliator, and mask, all in tube form. After wetting skin, drag the stick across your face to release the charcoal product and gently scrub. To use as a mask, simply leave on for ten minutes. This product will fight dullness, uneven texture, oiliness, and dirty pores. I love how fun and easy this is to apply, and it left my skin feeling sparkly clean. I also noticed a real different in the oiliness of my skin as well. I love this product, and will be purchasing more. Fortunately, this sample is quite large, and I will get quite a few uses out of it before I need to restock.

$56.00 - 4.1 oz    ($4.37 Value)

Farmacy has become a recent fav, as I love their natural ingredients, their packaging, and how well their products work. This antioxidant honey mask helps fight dryness, fine lines, and dullness. My skin is super dry during the winter, so a moisture mask is calling my name. I was surprised by the warming sensation, because I normally don’t feel masks working, but I am happy to know it is. This left my skin glowing and super smooth. Also, it was plump from moisture. I love this product, and while it may be a little too pricey to repurchase, I am glad I was able to try it out. Also, I am glad that this sample stayed true to the full sized product’s packaging. So tiny and so cute.

$60.00 - 1.05 oz    ($5.71 Value)

I’ve received a few of these cushion compacts in the past, and while they are nice to use as a one time sample, I was hoping more for this box. Since only one of these colors will work for me, half of the sample is for me to throw away, which is a bummer. Also, since it isn’t great packaging, the product dried out quickly after opening, and I think the second day use already feels old. Overall, this foundation did do a great job covering my imperfections and blemishes. The color isn’t an exact match, but it wasn’t noticeable. It did leave my skin a little greasy, and I prefer matte finishes, so that was a bit of a turn off. I was hoping more from Sephora, and I’m not too happy about this item, but I guess it was nice to try.

$86.00 - 1.7 oz    ($2.53 Value)

One of the samples each month is a perfume, which I don't mind, since this box delivers one extra sample over the rest. This perfume has notes of pink pepper, rose, orris, and sandalwood. It's very feminine and romantic, and really a scent I would expect for February. I was hoping for more of a fresh scent to renew the year, but I do like this perfume. I think it is perfect for those festive baby / wedding showers, or tea with the ladies. I like this as well, because it doesn't smell old, but I feel very youthful wearing this product.

Overall, I am really happy with this box. That friction mask, hair mask, and farmacy face mask are all new favorites, and that Clinique lipstick is pretty great as well. I do like the perfume, but this sample will be enough for me, and that cushion compact was a complete bust. I am a little disappointed they included it in this box at all. This month's box has a value of $33.83. I only spent $10 on this box, so that is a pretty good value, and pretty average for this box. I am happy with this, but those $50 value boxes are way more fun. I can't wait to see what next month has in store.

If you would like to try out Sephora Play!, just click here. It is a great way to sample the best of beauty for a great price.

Target Beauty Box January 2017 Review - Beauty #Goals

My Target Beauty Box has finally arrived for the month of January, and since I really didn’t spend much time looking into the products, I am excited to look into and test out each one. Target Beauty Box isn’t exactly a subscription box, because you have to purchase each one as they go on sale, but they come out once a month, and deliver a wide range of beauty products sold in Target stores. Depending on the value of the box, the cost varies from $5, $7, and $10. This month, they offered a $5 and a $10 box, but I was too slow for the $5, so the $10 it is. I probably would have purchased them both, so it isn’t the worst thing the $5 was sold out.

Like all their boxes, this month has a theme that helps curate the products. This month’s theme is "Beauty #Goals." This month is all about new and best of 2017 based on New Year's Resolutions. Target found all their favorite products that will become beauty favorites this year and collected them all in one box. This gets me really excited about the products inside, and I can't wait to dig in. Each box comes with a card detailing all the products, which is nice when you want a little more detail that the packing doesn't deliver. Let's dig in.

$31.49 - 4 oz    ($3.94 Value)

At first, I wasn’t sure I’ve heard of this brand before, but after I checked it out online, the packaging made me realize otherwise. While I have seen this brand around, I’ve never tried it before, mostly due to the ticket price, but now that I have a sample, I am excited to try it out. This brand has been around for over 60 years, which I didn’t know, but gets me more excited about the product. This facial cream promises to smooth, moisturize, protect, and tighten skin. I love moisturizers that double as a wrinkle cream, so I am all in. Overall, I really like this product. It does a really great job moisturizing, and works underneath makeup as well. Also, the cream isn’t too thick or thin, so I can wear it all year long. This is a great product, and I am glad I have this sample to try it out, but I don’t know if I can pay that price tag for face cream.

$4.99 - 0.27 oz    (Full Size!)

Lip scrubs are the new dry shampoo, as it they are everywhere, and everyone is using this simple product. I have yet to try one out, and since I normally use a toothbrush to buff my lips of dead skin, it will be fun to try a product that’s sole purpose is to scrub lips. I like that fact that this scrub hydrates while removing dead skin, because I was worried about the uncomfortable feeling it may produce. With one use, I noticed that my lips were much softer, and lipstick appeared to be softer and smoother as well. Also, it did leave my lips fully hydrated. I am really excited about this product, and the full size bottle as well. This will come in handy during these winter months.

$19.99 - 1.7 oz / 0.5 oz    ($0.58 Value)

For spending $10 on this box, I am a little distracted by these foil samples. They are normally free from magazines, and they don’t give you a good enough impression of the product. I have used the revitalift products before in the past, though, so I know what they can do, and this will be just an extra application. This cream and serum from L’Oreal promises to revitalize skin by minimizing wrinkles and soothing skin. I like that these work really well together, and you don’t feel like you’re applying a lot of product on your face at one. Also, these make my skin feel amazing. It is like there is soothing power in the moisturizer alone. Otherwise, I didn’t notice a big different with my skin, and didn’t notice any long terms effects. I would be happier using a more expensive product that works.

$9.39 - 10 oz    ($1.41 Value)

This is my second sample of this comb through hairspray, and I am happy I have more of this product, because I love it so much. I hate spending so much time curling my hair, and the hairspray not only makes it crispy, but it also dampens and flattens my curls. This hairspray hold your hair in place, even mine that tends to fall out, but doesn’t make it crunch. Also, I love that I can comb through my curls to loosen them slightly and make them appear more natural, which I would never be able to do before. I love this product, and unless I am rocking an up do, this will be the only hairspray I use going forward.

$4.49 - 0.09 oz    (Full Size!)

While I do love lip color, I absolutely cannot deal with the way they usually dry out my lips. Lip color goes from looking smooth and soft to cracked and sloppy. That is why I am mostly drawn to tinted lip balms. At first, I wasn’t sure I would be into this shade, because it isn’t a color that I normally wear, but the light tint complimented my skin tone well. Also, this left my lips feeling completely moisturized. I see they have a few other colors, and I am interested in purchasing a few more. Because this is a full size item, it adds to the value of the box, and I will never run out of this great product. This may be my favorite discovery of this box yet.

$12.49 - 7.9 oz    ($3.16 Value)

Amlactin is a product that I’ve known of forever, yet never purchased one of their products. This body lotion is proven to not only moisturize, but keep your skin moisturized throughout the day, all while soothing and smoothing. This does moisturize while taking away the itch, but it isn’t any more special than a cheaper option. I do like testing out new lotions, but mostly, I like having these travel size bottles for, what else, traveling. This will be great to throw in my purse as well when I need to give a little love to my arms or elbows. Plus, I am glad I was finally able to test out this product.

$10.00 - 13.3 fl oz    ($1.50 Value)

I’ve never heard of this brand or product before, but as soon as I pulled it out of this month’s box, I was intrigued. From the review I saw, people really enjoy this product, and I can see why. After only one use, my hair felt and looked clean and refreshed. Years of buildup has magically disappeared, and my hair stayed cleaner longer. It didn’t feel great applying, as I could feel the natural lemon crunching it up, but that rinsed out perfectly. This deluxe sample is good for a few uses as well, so I am able to pull this magic trick for the next few months. It is affordable too, so I will definitely be picking up a full size bottle.

$10.79 - 1.8 oz    ($1.50 Value)

I love the Burt’s Bees brand, and their product have surprised me of late. That means, I am really excited to try out their new face lotion. This product promises to relieve dry skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Most of my wrinkle creams are for night, so it is nice to have a day time option that isn’t too thick for under makeup. Also, this lotion is packed with probiotics and natural ingredients, so I am not weary to apply this on my face. I am impressed with the long lasting moisture, and I’ve noticed an improvement in my appearance. I really like this face lotion, and I will definitely concider purchasing in the future. Also, this sample isn’t large, but since I only use a small amount. It will last a while.

Overall, I am really happy with this month’s box. At first, it didn’t look like much, but once I looked into each of these products individually, I am really impressed. The two face creams, tinted lip balm, lip scrub, and clarifying wash are all new discoveries that I’ve already enjoyed, and the rest are still products I will use. To be honest, this is one of my favorite Target Beauty Boxes of all. This month’s box has a value of $21.57. That is nice for a $10 box, but I wish it cost a little less (like $7). Target Beauty Boxes are the best, and I can’t wait until next month’s is available.

If you would like to try Target Beauty Box for yourself, keep an eye out for the first Monday of the month, as that is when they go on sale. They sell out quickly too, so check in the morning.

Target Men's Beauty Box Holiday 2016 Review - Festive Fella

My boyfriend is going to be excited, because his Target Men's Beauty Box has arrived for the Winter season. And, he is in needs for some travel products for the holiday season, so this is perfect timing. Target Men’s Beauty Boxes usually come out twice a year, one summer and one holiday. They offer samples of products sold in the toiletries section of Target and cost either $5, $7, or $10. This box cost $7, which I am alright with paying, but since none of these items are that pricey, I would be hesitant paying the $10 ticket price. I like this box, because it helps my boyfriend stock up on travel products, but it also gets him to sample brands he would never try otherwise. He tends to stick to his favorites, and that’s it. I am excited to open this box with him.

Target started giving their boxes theme that go along with the season or holiday, which I really appreciate. Their products are loosely based on those themes as well. This holiday box’s theme is Festive Fellow. I am guessing these products will get him ready to celebrate those holidays with some cleaning and manscaping products. Target does offer some median priced brands, so I am hoping for some that will help get him out of his Old Spice rut. Also, it would be fun if an aftershave or a cologne was included. That way he will smell great for the holidays as well. We will see.

Gold Bond Ultimate Refresh 360 Men's Body Powder

$6.99 - 10 oz    ($0.70 Value)

He was the most unamused with this product, and at first said he would never use it. I believe the problem he originally had with the product is that he just didn’t know how or where to use. Right away I tried to explain, because I knew this is a kind of item that he would use and would work for him. My boyfriend sweats all the time. His body just runs hot. Sometimes he will workout and shower, and still sweat while sitting on the couch. This body powder will help soak up some of that sweat and keep you fresh. Also, it has a nice masculine, yet clean scent. I think it will take a few nudges, but he will benefit from using this. Especially in the summer. Plus, this is quite a large sample that should last a while.

Old Spice Dirt Destroyer Pure Sport Plus Body Wash

$4.99 - 16 oz    ($0.94 Value)

Unfortunately for me and fortunately for my boyfriend, Target included an Old Spice body wash in this month’s box. My boyfriend loves this brand, and it is technically all he buys, but I wanted him to reach outside his comfort zone. At least we know he will use it. He has never tried the sport before, but he says this is good, because he sweats a lot. Personally, the smell is my favorite. It reminds me of classic Old Spice before they decided to cater to the younger man. This travel bottle will be perfect for, of course, travel.

Colgate Optic White Platinum Express White Toothpaste

$3.47 - 3 oz    ($1.68 Value)

My boyfriend originally thought these were white strips, so I think I will be stealing this toothpaste from him. I love the Colgate Optic White toothpastes, since I love the effortless whitening in this everyday activity. I just don’t have the time to use white strips, so these help whiten just by brushing. I drink a lot of coffee and wine, so my teeth take a lot of crap from me, and this toothpaste does a great job cleaning those top stains. Also, this bottle is large enough for quite a few uses, but still small enough for travel. That is one of the main reasons I love this box.

Gillette Fusion Ultra Sensitive Hydra Gel Men's Shave Gel

$3.94 - 7 oz    ($1.41 Value)

My boyfriend was so excited about this product, as he said it is his all-time favorite shaving cream. He has sensitive skin, and often gets razor bumps when shaving. This shaving cream helps prevent those bumps, but also leaves your skin soft and smooth. That is what I am looking for when he shaves. Also, the fresh scent is nice, and it makes me want to get really close.  He says he normally doesn’t purchase this product, because it’s way more expensive than many other options, so I am glad he gets to use this without spending the extra cash. It’s the little things.

Every Man Jack Daily Shampoo & Conditioner in Citrus

$7.99 - 13.5 oz    ($1.18 Value)

This is what I am talking about when it comes to trying out new brands a products. He is definitely a 2-in-1 kind of guy, and of course he washes his hair every time he showers, so I really thought he would be excited about this item. Boy, was I wrong. He wasn’t drawn to the scent or the “hipster” vibe. Personally, I think this is great, and I like the outdoorsy scent. I am not sure if it works well, which will make it worth the price, but I am drawn to this brand otherwise. Also, I know he will use this once he needs it. I will just put it in the shower and wait for it to disappear.

Old Spice Swagger 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner

$6.49 - 25.3 oz    ($0.44 Value)

While the last 2-in-1 shampoo / conditioner wasn’t a hit, this one is getting him excited. He loves the Swagger scent from Old Spice, and has actually purchased this product a few times in the past. That is great, because this is the ideal travel bottle for him. He can also refill and reuse if he is in a crunch. I like this scent too, and if it makes him happy, then it makes me happy. This wasn’t my first wish, but seeing how he’s reacted to new products, sticking to the classics is the better move.

Dove Men +Care Clean Comfort Body and Face Wash

$5.49 - 18 oz    ($0.55 Value)

If my boyfriend isn’t purchasing Old Spice, his next choice is Dove. I personally like Dove, because I’ve always been a fan of this brand, and the products cater what your skin needs. Also, it is usually reasonably priced. If I purchase him anything he needs to restock on, I always reach for Dove first. He is happy that this is a body and face wash, because it keeps it simple. Also, he agrees that it takes care of his skin, unlike other brands. I am all about this scent. It isn’t your typical men’s body wash, but still has a touch of musk. I like it because I can use it too. This will be great when I forget to pack my own.

Nautica Voyage Sport Cologne

$34.99 - 1.7 oz    ($0.82 Value)

My boyfriend isn’t your average cologne wearer, and usually only splashes it on for fancy events, or when he needs a freshening up after the gym. This isn’t his favorite scent either. He thinks it smells a little cheap, like a Walmart brand instead of a Macy’s cologne. I will say I agree. This smells like my high school boyfriend. Really though, this will be great to throw into his gym bag. I am sure he will eventually use it.

Overall, I really didn’t think there was anything too special with this box. It was supposed to have a holiday theme, but instead was just a collection of travel sized products that we’ve all seen on shelves for a while. That is, besides the Every Man Jack shampoo/conditioner. That being said, he will use the majority of these products, and this does have cost savings when you are buying the actual travel sized product. Otherwise, from full size to these sample size products, this box only has a value of $7.72. That is a mere $0.72 extra value. This bums me out a little, as I hope the value is always a lot more than what I paid, but this won’t stop me from buying him these yet.
