Dollar Shave Club Review - Box 1

I finally caved and subscribed to Dollar Shave Club for my boyfriend (and myself-why lie!). I got the first box right before Valentine's Day, so I made it into a gift. Dollar Shave Club is a monthly subscription box for everything shaving. For as little as $1 (plus $2 shipping) you could have 5 shaving cartridges sent to your door each month. Plus, the first month comes with a free handle. Shaving has become so expensive, and this monthly subscription is an easy, cheap, reminder free way to keep your skin hairless.

My boyfriend grown a beard so fast, and has to keep it clean for work, but he is always out of razors. I've been shopping for razors with him before and it was impossible. They were behind locked glass and cost close to $40. That is way too expensive in my opinion. Dollar Shave Club works great, because the razors are high quality and cheap. Plus, they come every month without having to do anything. Each box comes with a card that describes the products and how to use. I think it is all self explanatory, but these item cards are always nice to have.

The Executive

$9.00 - 4 cartridges a month

I purchased the Executive razors for my boyfriend. The club allows you to pick one of three razors. The Humble Twin, which is $3 a month and contains two blades and 5 cartridges, The 4X, which is $6 a month and contains 4 blades and 4 cartridges, or The Executive, which is $9 a month with 6 blades and 4 cartridges. I went with The Executive, because it was a gift, and I only want to give the best, but I would be happy with The 4X for myself. It is a great blade at a great price. For the first month, the handle is free, and can be purchased for a few bucks if lost or if you want to share your subscription. My boyfriend loves The Executive and got a really nice close shave. These blades will last a few shaves, so these four blades will easily last him longer than one month. That isn't a problem, because you can always put your subscription on hold.

Dr. Carver's Shave Butter

$8.00 - 6 oz

Along with the razors, you can opt to add extras with your shipment. This is a one time purchase which is a plus and a negative. If you love it, you have to go back online and add it to your shipment every time you would like to purchase it again. On the positive side, this won't run out monthly, if you are anything like my boyfriend, so you won't have to delete it from your shipment, and you can just it into your shipment whenever you run out. Plus, if you don't like it, you won't ever have to purchase it again, and you do absolutely nothing about it. My boyfriend really liked this butter. You rub it on your face like shave cream before shaving and it helps prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumps. Plus, it softens up your hair, so it doesn't hurt to shave it all away.

Dr. Carver's Post Shave

$9.00 - 3.4 fl oz

This is another extra that you can purchase with each subscription. This aftershave is soothing, calming, and hydrating. Plus, it fights the aging process. I feel like all guys need an aftershave, if they think so or not. Boys tend not to care much about their dry or red face, so I figured if I bought this for my boyfriend, he would at least use it. I like the way it smells, and my boyfriend likes how it leaves his face moisturized. This also will last him forever, so the monthly addition to the subscription is not necessary. There is one more extra, which are moist buttwipes. I thought this wouldn't be a romantic gift, so I opted out of these, but they only cost $4 for 40 wipes. Plus, they have a peppermint scent.

This is my first box with Dollar Shave Club and I couldn't be happier. All the products were great quality, while still being very affordable. Also, I like the design and packaging of all the products. My subscription is currently on hold, but that is only because he hasn't used up any of the items. When he needs me to reactivate his subscription, I am going to get some for myself. I paid $26 for this box, which is a great deal. With the razors alone, this box would have only cost me $9.

If you would like to try Dollar Shave Club for yourself, just click here. For as little as $3 a month, you could get fresh razors sent to your door.

Rocksbox February 2015 Review

I was given the opportunity to try Rocksbox free for one month, so I decided to give it a try. Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription box for $19 a month that sends you three pieces of jewelry at a time to wear as much as you like. You may send the box back as many times as you like during your month subscription and they will send you three more pieces. If there is an item you would like to keep, just don't send it back, and they will charge it to your account. Each month comes with $10 towards your purchase, which you can save up, or spend towards the items you want to keep each month. I can't wait to see what Rockbox has in store for me this month.

The subscription doesn't officially start until they ship it out. That gives you 30 days with your $19 monthly subscription. If you get a box that you wear instantly or just don't care for, you can send it back right away and get three more pieces within the same subscription month. My subscription started on the 5th when it was shipped out, yet I didn't actually receive my box until the 17th. That is over an entire week that was taken away from my subscription. That is really disappointing, since I have to return this before the 5th of the next month before I get charged with another month. Also, that means I could really only get one box for the month, because they slow boat it my mailbox. A little shaddy if you ask my. They have to work out these kinks before I would want to subscribe to this box full time.

The box is really cute and felt really high end. Too bad we don't get to keep it. I would loved to have kept this on my shelf to put my own jewelry inside. The card inside it really nice too. They personalize each box by typing the card with my name inside and explain why they chose each piece. After all the wait, I want to not like this box, but this is really cute and special.

The card also lets you rate the items inside. They promote you to do this to get your next box faster. I am a little angry by this. They should automatically send your box as fast as they can, but only promote rating this items with reward points to spend on the items or as a way that they can learn more about their customer to curate better boxes in the future. I do like that they include the member price on the card so you know the cost incase you want to keep the item. The prices are on the pricey side, so just know going into this, they aren't sending you costume jewelry. With reward points, you unfortunately cannot purchase a item that you already sent back, so if you love it, you have to keep it at that moment, even if you don't have all the reward spend saved up. Also, your spend expires quickly, so you will have to spend a little of your own money, because the prices again aren't cheap.

Each piece of jewelry is well packaged to keep it in pristine condition. I like the little baggies and even used them when packing the jewelry for a weekend away. Also, this way, they always arrive to you without breaking or tangling. This is a nice addition to a subscription box that has been full of disappointments.

Perry Street Jenna Necklace

$64 - $51 Insiders' Price

Before your subscription begins, you take a quiz for Rocksbox to understand your style, and you also can go through their entire collection to pick a few items you love. This is one of these items. Rocksbox will always send you one of the items that you picked out yourself and curate the rest of the box to fit your item. I love this necklace, I am totally into statement pieces and hate delicate jewelry. If I wear any jewelry, you are going to notice. I wore this with a simple collared shirt butted to the top and transformed my outfit from day to night. This would look great with a plain t-shirt or dress. You can really dress this piece up or down. I would have considered purchasing this item with my points in the future, but unfortunately, after I send it back, I won't get the opportunity to purchase it in the future.

Gorjana Roya Shimmer Ring

$53 - $42 Insiders' Price

This is a piece Rocksbox picked out for me based on my profile and to go along with my statement piece. While I don't understand why this item was sent to me, I don't hate it. I like the cool design with the eye, but I don't care for the tiny fake diamonds. If I wore a ring this dainty, I would want the diamonds to be real. Also, this doesn't really go along with the statement necklace. I would wear these two pieces with completely different outfits. The statement necklace is a fun and wild piece, while the ring would be something I'd wear with a little black dress, or any formal event. This is an item that I wouldn't normally wear and would never pick out for myself.

Sophie Harper Pave Infinity Bracelet

$56 - $44 Insiders' Price

Again, I do not know why they sent this piece to me. With the quiz, I noted that I don't wear dainty pieces, nor did I pick out a single dainty piece from their collection. Also, this does not go with the statement necklace at all. I don't know why they said they curated a box around this necklace, because for jewelry experts, they have to know these pieces don't work together. I think that infinity sign is cliche and too every girl ever for me. I don't want to be seen wearing something that is the most popular valentines gift for the past few years. I most definitely prefer jewelry items that make a statement and stand out. I am not interested in this item at all.

Overall, I am not happy with this subscription box. It took way to long for the box to get to me while on my subscription time, the only item I liked is the item I picked out for myself, and the reward spend expired too quickly while the pieces are too expensive for me to purchase for full price. I am glad that this was a free trial, because I would have been really bummed to have waisted money to rent only one piece I wore for one day. This box would cost $137, which would be worth the $19 monthly rental if I liked all the pieces and if I were able to wear them the entire month, not two weeks.

This is just not the box for me, but it may be the subscription box that you've been waiting for. If you would like to try Rocksbox for yourself, just click here

Target Beauty Box Spring 2015 Review

Target Beauty Box is a seasonal box that goes on sale for $5 only four times a year and has a value of much more than $30. This is the first Target Box that I've been able to purchase, because they sell out within hours of going on sale. I've looked at reviews from their boxes in the past, and they are full of value and items that I would love to try. Plus, these are all items that I are available at Target, so if I fall in love with any product it is easily assessable.

Each box comes with a item card describing each item. I like these cards, because it fully explains each product, how to use, and how it can enhance your everyday beauty routine. It doesn't list out prices, but those are easy enough to look up on my own. This box only has five products, which is quite a bit less from boxes in the past, but past boxes have cost more, so at least they lowered the price. I hope that I fall in love with some of these items and that they go along with the spring season.

Maybelline Color Elixir By Color Sensational Lipcolor in Rose Redefined

$5.49 - .17 fl oz

I wasn't too excited about this lip color when I first opened my box, but after using I have become a fan. The color in the bottle is a little matronly, but on my lips it enhances my natural lip color. Also, this formula is very moisturizing and leaves only a light gloss. I hate sticky glosses that leave a plastic looking sheen across your lips, and this is definitely not that. It also smells really nice which is necessary, because you wear it right by your nose. The want is a little weird, and took me a few tries to get used to it, but now I've grown to like it. I am happy with this lip color and will definitely consider purchasing this in something a little more on trend.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray

$13.99 - 3.4 fl oz

This is another full size item in the Target Beauty Box. I am not a heavy makeup wearer, but tend to pack more on when I go out for the night, and I definitely notice my makeup wearing off halfway through the night. I thought this would be an aerosol spray that left a light coverage, but it was a heavier spray that left light drops on my skin. After it dried, I did notice that my foundation and powder stayed on my face a little longer. It didn't work that well with mascara, though, so I did notice some flakes late in the night. I tend to go lighter with my makeup when the weather heats up, so I would have preferred this in a cold weather box, but at least this could help me from sweating all my makeup off.

TRESemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hairspray

$1.47 - 1.5 oz

This isn't a full size item, but this is a deluxe sample size that is available for purchase when you need a smaller version for your purse or carryon. I am not too thrilled about this item. First, this is a brand and a product that I am sure everyone has already tried. TRESemme has been making hairspray for years and I've already owned a few of their hair products. Second, I don't really wear hairspray-only on rare occasions, such as weddings or New Years Eve. I tried this out and it was a little sticky at first and then crunchy after it dried. This product wasn't too remarkable for me, but at least it is small and I can throw it in my weekend bag for those big events. And believe me, I already have six weddings to go to this summer.

SheaMoisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Shampoo

$9.89 - 13 fl oz

This is the first true sample from this season's Target Beauty Box, but it is a large enough sample to get quite a few uses out of it so you can really get a sense of the product. This is finally a brand that I've never seen / used before, so I am excited to try out the sample. First off, I love how this shampoo smells. It reminds me of my childhood for some reason. I also notice that this is full of natural ingredients and doesn't contain a lot of chemicals that can be found in your common shampoo. I like the medium lather and how little you have to use to cover your entire head. It left my hair noticeably softer and shinier. The smell stayed with me all day, too. I might actually purchase the full size item despite the price.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream for Extra-Dry Skin

$17.99 - 1.7 fl oz

I am a big moisturizer. I apply lotion over my entire body after every shower and have a dozen face lotions. Also, I am already a big fan of Neutrogena and their products. This claims to be a gel, but it came out looking almost like lotion. I spread this completely over my freshly cleansed face, and it worked pretty well. It completely moisturized my skin, but on the other hand, it wasn't super moisturizing. I would prefer to use my thick night cream for super dry days. Also, this sample is pretty small. I had to use quite a bit, because the gel lotion didn't go very far. I will definitely use this entire sample, but I will not be purchasing the full size item. I wish this box sampled the eye cream, because that is something I would be more interested in. I do like that the light formula works well with spring.

After waiting and waiting and waiting for this box to go on sale, I am a little disappointed with the overall box. Boxes in the past have included many more items, and products that I would have more likely used. One the other hand, this box is defiantly worth it's cost. I estimate this box to be worth $33.49, and that is going off of Target's prices. For only paying $5 for this box with free shipping, it is worth the value. Target promised a $38 value, but maybe they are going off the retailers price before Target's discounts. I will be keeping my eyes out for the next season's box. It looks like Target is still trying to figure out the best way to do these, and I hope with many comments that there will be improvements.

Target Beauty Box comes around only four times a year, and without much notice before they go on sale, they also sell out within hours. I bought mine 8 o'clock in the morning the day they went on sale to secure mine. In order to secure your summer box, I would start checking their website daily for the box to go on sale right after the season change.

Bulu Box April 2015 Review

Bulu Box is quickly becoming one of my favorite subscription boxes. I have been working hard to be healthier by what and how much I eat, working out, and taking supplements. I have noticed a big change, and Bulu Box helps me discover new ways to help with this transition. Also, it is quite cheap. It costs only $10 a month, but it is basically free. With each box ordered, you get $5 in reward points and at least $5 by reviewing the products. That means with every $10 box you get $10 to spend in their shop. You get the chance to purchase your favorite item from each box for $10 off, or save them up over a few months and get the item completely free.

Each box comes with a item card that lists out each item, the full size cost, and their description on how they will help you and how they are used. This is really helpful, because the labels of the products don't always explain how they are used, and I like to see how much the full size item costs. That helps me figure out the value of the box and decide if I want to purchase the full size item. On the back of each card is a sample journal where you can write how you felt before and after each sample. I write everything down and keep these for when my points add up. I like to go back and see what I've really liked and what I could do without.

Martha Stewart Essentials Digestive Health

$16.99 - 60 capsules

This is a product that I've been interested in trying. I was almost going to buy it, so I am glad I waited. This is a full size item with a 30 day supply. This is more than I expected from Bulu Box and pleasantly surprised. These supplements appear to be all natural and are supposed to help with digestion by absorbing all healthy nutrients and reduce all bloating and discomfort. I've been taking two tablets with a meal each day and while I am not sure I notice anything different, I definitely haven't felt bloated or any food discomfort since. I really like to think that these are taking effect. I am happy with the Martha Stewart branding, and feel like she really thought her products through. I will probably be buying these again once my supply is up.

SK Energy Shot in Strawberry Lemonade

$25.99 - 12 bottles

I don't normally take energy shots. I am a big coffee and tea drinker and even splurge on Red Bull once in a while, even though I try not to drink them that often because of their ingredients. Energy shots normally taste disgusting to me. This wasn't too terrible. I wouldn't mind taking this shot every once in a while. The energy was almost instant, and it wasn't too much that I needed to sit down or eat something. I like the natural ingredients and wouldn't mind trying the other flavors. The lemonade was a little too tart for me. I would definitely pick these up at the store instead of any other energy shot.

Ovega-3 DHA + EPA

$24.99 - 60 capsules

I used to take a fish oil every single day to help with heart health and nail and hair strength, but I hated the size of each pill and how I burped up fish all day. These supplements are a fish oil alternative and are packed with Omega 3's. This will last me only four days, so I am not sure that I will be able to see or feel a difference, but the pills were easier to take, and I didn't burp up fish the entire day. Plus, these are GMO free, so I feel much better about taking these. Overall, I really liked this sample, and will consider purchasing these in the future. I think I'd be more likely to grab them if I saw them in a drug store then purchase them online. I just don't want them that badly.

Sun Chlorella Granules

$36.00 - 100 packets

These granules are stocked full of green algae, the new superfood to cure all. After reading up on it's benefits, I realized that algae is very beneficial. This superfood helps with digestion, boosts energy levels, promotes immune systems, joint movement, thinking, memory, and vision. These are all things that I would love help with. They suggest to pour this into any drink, smoothie, or to sprinkle over any meal. I wasn't to excited to put this on food, because I didn't want it to ruin dinner, so I threw it in a smoothie. I could barely taste it. I haven't noticed any true difference except the increased energy, but I will be purchasing more to see the true results.

Rootology: Breathe Free

$18.99 - 40 capsules

I think that this is the perfect item for spring. Around this time of year, everyone is dealing with sinuses and itchy eyes. I don't really have these issues, though, so this isn't the best product for me. I gave this to my boyfriend, who has a hard time around spring with his allergies and sinuses. He took the one day supply when he was feeling really bad and did notice some changes. His eyes were still super itchy, but he could definitely breath a little easier. He said that his regular medicine works a lot better, but at least this product is all natural and not full of chemicals. I won't be purchasing this particular product, but I do like this brand and would be happy to try out their other supplements.

I am extremely happy with this month's box. Not only did I get a full size item, but I absolutely love it. I also received another item that I will be purchasing for certain. Only one of the items is something that didn't apply to me. I have been feeling healthier after taking these supplements, which is the main goal in the first place. I estimate this box to be worth $22.50, which is mainly in thanks of the full size item. I spent $10 on this box and will get that back to spend in the rewards shop, so the value of the box doesn't take the cost into account.

If you would like to try Bulu Box for yourself, just click here. For only $10 a month, you could be on your way to a healthier you.

Bulu Box March 2015 Review

Another Bulu Box has arrived at my door, and I am excited to see what items it has in store for me this month. Bulu Box is a monthly subscription box full of heath and wellness samples and full size items. The boxes contain about 5 - 7 items and only costs $10 a month. Plus, you get at least $5 of reward points to use in the store after reviewing the items. I think it is completely worth it, especially for anyone wanting to start a new or healthier routine.

Each box comes with coupons to use on certain items, Bulu Box specials, and an item card that lists out each product and space to write down how you felt before and after. I like this card, because I like to write down the results so I really focus on them. Also, it is nice to hold onto these cards as a reminder on what worked well and what didn't really help.

NeoCell Beauty Infusion in Tangerine Twist

$32.99 - 11.64 oz

I am all about drinking something that will help with my skin, hair, and nails. This promises to firm, smooth, and hydrate skin along with enhancing collagen formation. I have been dealing with early wrinkles and have found nothing that takes them away. This drink will also help strengthen my hair and nails. I poured this into a large glass of water and it dissolved pretty well. I didn't love nor did I hate the taste. I'm not much of an orange drink kind of person, but this went down easy enough. I didn't notice any difference after the first drink, but at least I felt more hydrated. I might have to buy the full size item in a different flavor.

Bio Coffee

$22.00 - 16 Sachets

I drink coffee every single morning, and I get a little tired of the brewing process. Along with being a cup of coffee it is full of nutrients, vitamins, and probiotics. This coffee will help blood flow, digestion, and general detoxification. It also helps with diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, relieves constipation, improves digestion, weight loss and so much more. The only problem, it is caffeine free. Seriously, that is the reason I drink coffee. I could see myself drinking this at night instead of decaf, but this won't ever replace my morning coffee. The coffee was good, though, and actually tasted like a real cup. I am still on the fence if this is something that I would want in the future.

COMPETE Energy Bites in Chocolate

$22.49 - 6 Packs of 6 Bites

Natural energy is a must for me. I am a caffeine addict and sometimes I resort to chemical filled energy drinks. These little bits are almost like a Milky Way with its fluffy chocolate taste. I don't really care for the dark chocolate taste, but these weren't too terrible for me to eat. I am sure everyone else in the world would like these. I could actually feel the added energy these supplied me. It wasn't too much at once like some energy pills I've taken in the past, but it was a nice steady amount over about 8 hours. I've been savoring these, so I only take them when I feel really low on energy. I think these could be my favorite thing form this month's box. I want to try the other flavor.

AllergEase Herbal Lozenges

$13.99 - 42 count

Allergies definitely are an issue for me around springtime, and I hate taking any and all allergy medicine, because it makes me feel cloudy and drowsy. I am also a fan of couch drops and how they taste like candy and cure any sore throat. These didn't taste as great as cough drops, and because I am not a big fan of honey, they were extra terrible for me. I did eat two, though, and could definitely feel the difference. My head was much less cloudy and my sinus headache disappeared. I am really happy with all the natural ingredients and know that I am not just ingesting a bunch of chemicals. These are a new favorite for me and the boyfriend. I might have to purchase more when these run out.

Beanfields Bean & Rice Chips in Ranch

$28.56 - 24 bags

I am a big chip eater, but I normally never eat them because they are terrible for me. I was hoping that this Bulu Box didn't have any food, but I was actually excited to see these. Also, I love ranch flavoring, so this was right up my alley. I wasn't too thrilled with these overall. The bean and rice chip wasn't too crunchy and it took half the bag to get over the texture. Also, the ranch flavoring tasted weird. I understand that these actually have nutrients and are vegan and gluten free, but I would honestly rather just eat the regular old potato chip once in a while.

This box was quite a large assortment of items. I like receiving a little bit of everything. It is way more fun then getting items that are all the same. I did ask for no food in my Bulu Boxes and once again I received food, but at least it was only one actual item that was strickly food. The others were supplements that you have to digest. I estimate this to be worth $14.43. I only spent $10 on this box and I get $5 to spend in the shop, so this is worth it. I also found a few items that I would be happy to purchase in the future.

Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2015 Review

My Walmart Beauty Box for spring has arrived, and I am excited to see what is inside. Walmart Beauty Box is a seasonal subscription box for $5 each full of beauty samples and full size items. It is full of affordable drugstore items, which are also nice to also sample along with the high end beauty items. I did look at some spoilers, but because they are all a little different, I have no idea what is coming in my box.

The inside box is nicely lined with tissue paper and they all come with a card. Every time my box arrives to me, it is in a state of despair. I know that isn't their fault, because this happens while shipping, but it is a little annoying. The card also doesn't give you any information on the products. I guess they are all self explanatory, but I would like them to be listed out with prices.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

$4.49 - 25 sheets

I already own a few items from the simple brand, as of recent, I have been using facial wipes all the time. They are perfect for after the gym when you can't shower right away, or to use as a quick shower at night to wipe off all that makeup. I am all about the natural ingredients inside this product, because no one wants to put a bunch of chemicals on their face. These left my face clean and feeling refreshed. Some cleansing clothes leave a film on your face, but these left my face feeling completely bare. It didn't get the hard makeup off, but nothing I've ever tried were able to tackle that. I will definitely be buying the full size pack the next time I make it to the store.

Schwarzkopf Essence Ultimate Omega Repair & Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner

$6.97 - 13.5 fl oz each

I have never heard of this brand before, and I am always shopping in the drugstore shampoo isle. These are larger shampoo and conditioner samples so I will be able to use them a few times. The shampoo has a light lather, which makes me believe it is better for your hair. All the nice shampoos have a light lather. The conditioner didn't leave my hair as soft as I would have hoped, and it was very hard to comb right out of the shower. The scent is nice and stayed with my hair for a long time. It kind of reminds me of the smell that is left in your hair after a hair dye, so I wonder what other people thought about it, but otherwise I liked the smell. I don't think I will buy this full size item, but I was happy to try out the sample.

Dove Go Fresh Revitalize Body Wash

$5.47 - 22 fl oz

The Dove brand is a constant in my household. I have used their deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I have yet to use this particular body wash before, and I was excited to see what could be different about this particular one. This body wash was light, which is perfect for spring, and has a nice citrus smell. This would be the ideal body wash to use in the morning to both wake yourself up, but start the day on a happy note. It lathers up nicely and I felt completely clean after using. The best part, it didn't dry out my skin. This body wash is a winner. Too bad the sample will only get me a few uses.

Lady Gaga Fame Eau De Parfum Spray

$30.88 - 1.7 oz

I have been looking for my next perfume for a while, so I actually like receiving these small samples in my subscription boxes. They really give you a good idea of how it balances with your body's chemicals, what and where the best times for this perfume to be worn, and how well it lasts. I wore this on a typical day of work. This flowery scent had darker notes of incense, which didn't go well with daytime wear. I also though it smelled a little cheap. I could see myself wearing this for a night out at a gin bar or to a burlesque show.  Other than that, I don't really see myself wearing this scent. I will definitely use up the sample, but I will not be purchasing the full size bottle.

Nivea Nourishing In-Shower Body Lotion

$5.92 - 13.5 fl oz

I have super itchy skin, and I literally spend at least 10 minutes after every shower applying lotion. I didn't think this would be too great, and I didn't really expect it to work. I was super surprised. This left my skin feeling just as moisturized as it would spending those 10 minutes, but in a tenth of the time. I still had to reapply to those super dry spots such as my feet and elbows. This sample was super small, though, and I only got one and a half uses out of this. I guess it is enough to know that I do want to buy this full size item. I would rather have had this in my winter box though.

Maybelline New York Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation

$5.94 - 1 fl oz

I love using foundation, because I have a lot of flaws to hide. I usually just use a powder because it is much quicker and hides all the grease on my face, but it doesn't always do the trick. This foundation did a great job of hiding all my pores, wrinkles, and red spots. I will definitely consider buying the full size product. I am a lot disappointed with this sample size. It was barely enough for one use. Plus, this is something I would normally receive in a magazine for FREE.

Along with all the samples, the box was full of manufacture coupons. They totaled up to $12. That is great if you plan on buying all the full size products, but if you didn't care for any of them, these are a waste. I look at it that you have to spend more money to save money. I am not too happy about that, because I already spent money on this box. I also always forget to use coupons. I will try to remember these in order to make my box worth it's cost.

Without the coupons, I estimate this box to be worth $4.49. That is less than I paid. Kinda of rip off. My last box had TWO full size items. This box had ZERO. I think they went over the top to hook me with my first box. I am going to try one more before I cancel my subscription, so they better do something better next time. Also this is a spring box, and only two of the items were fit for spring. I would rather have items that go along with the season. What's the point of having a seasonal box otherwise.

Ipsy Glambag April 2015 Review - Beautifully Bohemian

My Ipsy Glambag has arrived for the month of April. I've been looking at a few spoilers so I knew the theme along with the design of the makeup bag. I also knew some of the items that would be coming this month. A few people received the Juice face peel and I am crossing my fingers this product made it's way into my bag. While the value has been great, I haven't been in love with a lot of the products lately, so I hope this month will turn it all around. I've been waiting for a great bag for a while now.

The theme is usually a straight hit or miss for me. They are either too girly or right up my alley. This theme is perfect for me. I love natural elements brought into makeup and design and I've always been a little bit of a hippie at heart. Also, this bag is great. I love the pattern and this bag actually has texture unlike the many plastic bags I've received in the past. They used actual straw mixed with other mediums. I will pull this bag out first to use all spring and summer.

At first glance, I see that I did not receive the Juice face peel. I am a little bummed, but I have to give these other products a fair chance. Another disappointment, these items seem small and there's not a whole lot of them. I will have to check these out each on their own, but as a first impression this bag doesn't seem like it could be worth a whole lot. I will have to see.

JulieG Nail Color in Damsel

$3.99 - .35 fl oz

I am not much of a nail polish wearer, and I am pretty sure that it declares this in my profile. That being said, I was pretty bummed to see this in my glambag. Also, this seems like a cheap brand. Probably something you could find in the drugstore. I tried this on my toes, and I don't actually hate it. The color doesn't go too well with my normal wardrobe, but with spring approaching, I will definitely be wearing more bright colors. The coat is pretty good too. I could go with only one application. Like I originally assumed, this is a cheap nail polish, but at least it is a full size item. This will definitely last me a while.  That being said, I just might purchase this polish in another color.

Olive Natural Beauty Moisturizing Lip Balm in Oats & Honey

$5.95 - .07 oz

I am constantly applying moisturizer on my lips, so this is a perfect item for me. I also love products with natural ingredients. I was hoping for some in this month's bag, because it would go with the theme. After my first impression, I really like this brand. It feels like a luxury item. Unfortunately, I am not in love with the flavor Oats & Honey. I hate honey and anything that smells like honey. I would have prefered another flavor, like Lavender & Lemon, but I can stand this flavor. Plus, this leaves my lips so soft, and I don't have to reapply as much as your everyday chap stick. I will definitely be using this until it is completely gone. Also, it's another full size item.

theBalm Nude Dude Eyeshadow in Fit

$36.00 - .336 oz palette with brush

I am already a big fan of theBalm products. I've received a few of their items in past subscription boxes and have adored each one. I've also recently seen it in a few department stores, so this has become an easier brand to buy. I am happy with the color I've received. It is a nice bronzy beige with a little shimmer. It has nice pigmentation, so the color in the palette is the color that appears on your eyes. I also am a big fan of the packaging. This strong paper case is super cute with a nice magnetic clasp. I also love the "nude" dudes. It makes this product so much more fun. I may just have to purchase the full palette.

Pandora's Makeup Box Blush in Pink Carnation

$14.00 - .14 oz

I've been receiving blushes like crazy in recent subscription boxes, which is great because I've been looking for a new blush that will compliment my skin and my personality. With all these blushes coming, I've found two great blushes that I love and have been using regularly ever since. On that note, I wasn't too thrilled to receive this item, but after using it I changed my mind. I though it would be too pink for me, but it actually looks nice after it thins out on the apples of my cheeks. This is a full size item too, even though it doesn't appear to be. The normal product comes with a magnetic reusable case. I won't be using this all the time, but it will get used every once in a while.

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Eye Primer

$44.95 - 8 g

I wasn't sure what this item was at first. I was really hoping it was a concealer, because I use them regularly, and this would have been a huge sample. To my mild disappointment, this in an eye makeup primer. By spreading this over your eyes before makeup application, it will make makeup last much longer without wearing off. Not only that, but I fell like it made my eye makeup brighter and more vibrant. I've received a primer in the past, and while I liked it, I rarely use it. I will definitely try to use this more in the future, especially because it works so well. Even though this is a large sample, it is not a full size item. But, this is definitely a deluxe sample. It is half the size of the original product. This will last me a long time, so I will not be purchasing the item. It is also a little out of my price budget.

Overall, I am not too happy with this bag. I will eventually use all of the products, but there isn't anything that I love. My favorite thing from this month's bag was the bag itself. One the plus side, three of the items in this bag are full size and one is a deluxe size item. Another plus, I estimate this month's bag to be worth $50.17. That is great for a $10 subscription. I have received bags in the past that I love, but unfortunately this month just doesn't hit the mark for me. I haven't received a bag that I absolutely love in a long while, so I hope that it is coming right around the corner.
