Sephora Play! October 2016 Review - The Cool Cut

The best news ever, my Sephora Play! box has arrived for the month of October, and they really kept the suspense alive. Many of my subscription boxes arrive around the second week of the month, but this one took it’s time. I am glad it finally arrived, none the less, and I can’t wait to see what is inside. Sephora Play! is a monthly subscription box that delivers six beauty samples (and sometimes full sized products) to your door for only $10 a month. These are all products sold in store at Sephora, so you get a healthy mix of high quality products at a range of prices. I am a relatively new subscriber to this box, so it is still super fun and fresh, which means of course, I can’t wait to see what is inside.

This month’s theme is “The Cool Cut.” It is all about those new products on the market that everyone will be talking about and obsessing over. The best part, we get to try them first. I really like this theme, because I always want to try out the best of new releases, but that also means these products are going to be great. I remember receiving my first dry shampoo or beauty blender, and now they are everywhere. I know these products probably won’t be that life changing, but more on the level of Ouai wave spray. Along with the theme, each box comes with a fold out with details to each item and also recommended uses. I love this, and actually read and reference these often. Icing on the cake, each box also comes with a Sephora Play! card to take with you on your next trip to the store. Not only will they give you an exclusive how to with your products, but you’ll also rack up extra points to use on future purchases.

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Belle

$24.00 - 0.088 oz    (Full Size!)

This three in one product can be used as a lip liner, a lip stick, or a blush with its ultra-soft formula in this self sharpening pencil. Before I say more, I must bring up how this product is full size. I paid only $10 on this box, and this product alone costs more than double. If you did purchase from the store, this does come with a sharpener and tin, but we all have those lying around and never really justify the cost. This color is absolutely perfect for fall, a plum nude, and while I prefer powder blush, this is great as a lipstick. I love how it lines as well, which makes my lips look full and beautiful. I’ve used products like this in the past, but nothing has shined like this. I definitely think this pass the cool cut for a reason, and I would love to try out this product in different colors.

Skin Inc Pure Revival Peel

$55.00 - 2 oz    ($4.68 Value)

I am a fan of peels so I was excited to see this product in my Sephora Play! box. This product promises to visibly and gently slough away dead skin cells to reveal brighter and renewed skin. By rubbing it across dry, clean skin, it only takes a few minutes to work its magic, then just rub in small circles and rinse with warm water. It is seriously that easy. My skin has been my worst enemy lately, as it has been extremely oily, breaking out, and appearing dull, so this product could be the answer to my prayers. With only one use, this did leave my skin feeling great and looking more youthful and alive. I am really digging this product, and since you don’t need to use a whole lot each time, I will get a few more uses from this tube.

Too Cool For School Egg Mellow Cream

$36.00 - 1.76 oz    ($4.30 Value)

Out of everything in this month’s box, this was the most intriguing to me. I don’t know if it’s the cute packaging or the promises for younger looking skin, but all I knew is I needed to try it out. This medium volume cream can be used as a serum, moisturizer primer, egg cream, neck cream, or sleeping mask. I decided to use it as a sleeping mask to see the best results, and hopes to see changes in dryness, firmness, elasticity, dullness, and uneven texture like promised. It felt very luxurious when applying, and wasn’t sticky. In the morning, I noticed a small improvement to my skin texture, but nothing major. I bet there would be noticeable changes with longer use. I love this cream, and would really like giving it a longer try, especially with its lack of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. The sample is quite small, though.

Tom Ford Orchid Soleil

$120.00 - 1.7 oz    ($3.53 Value)

I really enjoy receiving fragrance samples, because I don’t like committing to one fragrance, and I really like to mix it up to match my mood or the event. This scent by Tom Ford was created to capture the seductive warmth and reflective bare skin of a woman. I am not sure what that means or why it has to be so dramatic, but this scent will definitely be warm and sexual. With notes of tuberose, black orchid, vanilla, chestnut, and patchouli, this is a perfect scent for this time of year. I could picture myself wearing this to a romantic fall dinner date or a night of sipping wine and hanging out by the fire. I am not in love with this scent, but I will be happy to wear it this fall and coming winter. Heck, Christmas parties are right around the corner. I am glad I know have this perfume sample to join the rest.

Verb Leave-In Mist

$14.00 - 8 oz    ($1.75 Value)

Within the past year or so, leave in hair mists have become a daily favorite. I love how they detangle and condition, making it easy to brush, preps hair for styling, and also smooths and adds shine. They give my hair that extra lift and touch to instantly go from bland to luscious. Plus, they are so easy. I could easily compare this product to my favorites, and I love how it makes my hair so easy to brush while damp, but also dries shinier. I did notice my other hair products working better with this as well. They even recommend using this mid-day to give your hair a lift, but that will probably be too much for my fine and thin hair. I am also a fan of the light scent. It just adds to the overall experience.

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver's Seat

$24.00 - 0.13 oz    ($6.00 Value)

This highly pigmented liquid lipstick is long lasting, lip smoothing, and ultra-light, which sounds like everyone’s dream lipstick. I am personally not a fan of liquid lipsticks, because they tend to be drying and sticky, but this is not the case. I am impressed with this formula, and could really see it changing my mind on this type of product. Also, the color is wonderful. The warm, rosey pink with a hint of purple is natural enough for fall without being your typical wines and nudes. This color and product definitely made the cool cut for a reason, and I can see a lot of girls wearing this into spring. Plus, there are no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates included, and the diamond want gives the perfect application. I am going to get compliments with this one.

I am pretty darn excited about this box, and really like all of the samples. That mello cream, peel, and hair mist will definitely become instant favorites, while the two lip colors will give me great lip options this fall. I am also happy with the perfume sample, and will definitely be wearing it soon. I do wish I only received one lip color, as I’d prefer variety, and we all know I already have quite a large stash of lipsticks already, but at least I like the colors and they are both very trendy. This month’s box has a value of $44.26. I spent $10 on this box, so that value is crazy. Some of the samples were a little small, but since the makeup products were on the larger size, that does make up for it. I think this was a great box, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the last fall month.

Barkbox Medium October 2016 Review - Halloween

Yeah! My Barkbox (well, my dog’s Barkbox) has arrived for the month of October, right in time for the best holiday, Halloween. Barkbox is a monthly subscription box that delivers toys and treats to your door curated around a theme. The prices vary due to your subscription length, but I pay $20 a month for a 12-month subscription. For that price, this is a very affordable box, and definitely holds its value. They also offer three different box options for your dog’s size: Small, Medium, and Large. My dog is 25lbs, so I receive the box for medium dogs.

This month’s theme is obviously Halloween and all the spooky and scary treats that go along with this month. This may be just a little too generic, but when it comes to dog toys and treats, I am happy to share the holiday scare with my dog. I am hoping for some Halloween related treats, possibly candy bar shaped, and haunted toys. It would be really cool if they included a costume in the box, as I have yet to get him one, and it is always fun to dress your dog up for Halloween. Again, the wrapping and card are really cute, and you can tell that they have put a lot of time into these. They also included a sign for your door to let trick or treaters know you are pet inclusive. I live in an apartment, and don’t really get many people to my door, but I will save this for later Halloweens.

$6.00 - 5.5 oz

What would be Halloween without some treats for the pup as well. Heck, they deserve it. And, what could be more fitting then these Boo Berry treats. These tresats made with chicken blueberries, chickpeas, tapioca, flaxseed, and potatoes are both healthy and delicious. My dog of course had to give them a few sniffs first, but became an instant fan. Plus, they are shaped like scary cats. Seriously, what could be cuter and more frightful to both you and your dog. I love giving these out to my dog during this time of year, and I know they are also not going to make him feel terrible like I’ll be feeling after eating all that candy, because they only include natural and healthy ingredients. I love these treats, and so does he!

$10.00

A fan of the classic movie, Hocus Pocus, this book of spells with the fur cover, hand closer, and that scary eyeball brings back some great nostalgia. A stuffed toy with a squeak, this scary book is perfect for tossing or tugging, and my dog will even play with it by himself. Like always, he has to kill the squeak first and foremost, so this toy does already have a hole, but it stays up pretty nicely. I think this toy is really cute, and my dog brings it everywhere with him, so I know that he likes it as well. Trust me, I won’t be putting this away after the holiday is over.

$7.00 - 6 oz

While these treats don’t exactly go perfectly with the Halloween theme, I think they are perfect for this time of year. Once the weather turns cool outside, I want to warm up with some savory soups or those classic home cooked meals. These lamb savory snacks made by the loved book series, “Chicken Soup for the Soul,” give all the warmth my dog will need as the temperatures drop. These treats are made with great ingredients like lamb, brown rice, oat, molasses, chicken, and potato. These are on the softer side, so they’d be perfect for rewarding or learning tricks.

$12.00

What says Halloween any more than the iconic jack o’ lantern? I would have to say, not much. This orange plush seemed to be your typical round toy, but it turned out being so much more. The top comes off, exposing a string of guts and seeds, but the real surprise was the elastic making this a tug toy as well. My dog always brings me his stuffed toys to tug, so this will be perfect for him. Also, since it’s not a “scary” pumpkin, I think this will be fitting through fall. I think this is my favorite item in this month’s box, and while I didn’t give it to my dog yet because he is still living in the glory of the book, I know he will love it as well.

$3.00 - 1.41 oz

Again, this doesn’t have to do much with the Halloween theme, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking this is a great item. These Dog for Dog food bars are made with healthy ingredients like flaxseed, peanut butter, brown rice, and molasses, and just like a granola bar for humans, this bar is perfect for throwing in your bag during a hike, stuffing in your glove compartment when your own the road with your dog, or even an energy boost during exercise. Also, they donate a bar for every single one they sell, so this bar already gave back to another dog in need. I love these bars, and may have to stock up on them. We are always traveling, and it will be great to have these around for those times in need.

Overall, I am in love with this box. Even though two of the items didn’t go perfectly with the Halloween theme, I think they were great additions, and will still be perfect for this time of year. That pumpkin toy is my absolute favorite, but the book of spells is a close second. My dog is a fan of all those treats as well. I think the Boo Berry treats shaped as cats is pretty hilarious. This month’s box has a value of $38. That is well more than the $20 I spent, and even if I wouldn’t pay those exact prices if I were to purchase on my own, I think I got a pretty good deal with this items. November is all about Thanksgiving, so I hope we have some great themed holiday toys and treats in store for use next month.

Barkbox Medium September 2016 Review - Back to School

I’m back to subscribing to Barkbox, just in time for the holidays, and I pretty excited to see how they’ve grown and changed since cancelling over a year ago. Barkbox is a monthly subscription box that delivers two toys and three treat/food items to your door for your pup all to their monthly theme. Depending on your subscription length, they vary in price, but as a 12 month subscriber, I pay $20 each box. I really wouldn’t want to pay much more, since the value is hard to match with the items inside, but I am tied to a lengthy subscription. By the end, I know my dog is going to have more treats and toys then he knows what to do with. Another great thing Barkbox offers, they curate boxes for every dog size: Small, Medium, or Large. I have a 25 lb pup, so I picked the medium dog subscription.

This month’s theme is “Back to School,” as all the toys and treats go along with the grade school theme. I have to say, I already have noticed some nice upgrades to their box. The paper wrapping has a super cute design with all the dog’s yearbook photo. Each dog has a quote or notable line about them, which is really funny and well done. I can see they took their time with this. The information card is a composition book, which really brings me back. I have to say, they used to include a detailed card with products and prices, but that is a thing of the past. I really liked to see what everything cost and where I can get more if I’m interested. I think the upgrades are well worth the negative change, though, and I am excited to dig inside this box. So is my dog!

$7.00 - 5.5 oz

Just like our childhood Lunchables, this container of “Munchables” contains two pockets, just like our favorite treat, with a side with “chips” and another with “sausage.” I loved it whenever my mom splurged on these treats, and I think my dog feels the same way. Of course, he devoured the sausage treat, but was a little more iffy about the chip. A few sniffs later, and this new treat was chomped up. I will say, the chips were a little messy, so I’d recommend feeding you fur child those on hard wood floor, but my dog was willing to do the cleanup for me with his tongue. These treats are super cute and also offer variety unlike most sealed bags. Plus, they fit the theme perfectly. Besides the mess, these are a win.

$12.00

I see that Barkbox has gotten into the toy game themselves and now creates some of their own to sell and to put in their boxes. I actually like this a lot, because I always see the same toys over and over, and when I was first subscribed, I would get the same type of toys that wouldn’t match the theme. I swear I received the same alien guy three times in different colors and sizes. This peanut butter and jelly sandwich is the most notorious packed lunch food, and I have definitely eaten my fair share. Also, this is super cute. Really though, it is just a plush and has no fun additions. If it did have a squeak, my dog would kill the toy to get to it, so at least I know this will last longer, but that also brings the enjoyment down. I think we will be playing a little toss and tug with this, but I don’t think it will be used as often as some of his other toys.

$6.00 - 5.5 oz

This month’s bag has delivered some iconic school lunch meals, but we all know the repulsive sloppy joe, and dreaded those lunch days. These treats, on the other hand, these treats aren’t turning my dog away, but instead comes running. Shaped like the sandwich and are made beef, oat, barley, tomatoes, potatoes, and flaxseed. I love how most of these ingredients match those of an actually sloppy joe, so it feels as though he can share lunchtime with us in an even more special way. This bag is pretty full, too, so this will last through weeks of potty breaks and amazing tricks. This guy is a definite fan.

$12.00

Nothing says school like a number 2 pencil, or in this case a number poo pencil. This plush with squeak is shaped like our childhood writing utensil, which makes it perfect for tossing and tugging. This toy included a squeak, so my dog couldn’t help himself from tearing it apart. That means it is already in bad form, but it still has enough stuffing to toss it around a little. While this isn’t as cute or creative as the sandwich, my dog loves it, and he carries it around almost everywhere he goes. If only we could teach him how to write.

$6.00

Out of all the items in this box, this is the only one that doesn’t really fit the theme. They are also the most unusual treat I have ever seen. Shaped like large, crunchy cubes, these treats are made with yak milk, cow milk, and lime juice. Those aren’t exactly ingredients I would expect in a dog treat, but they are at least healthy. My dog surprisingly dug these, and loved crunching down on these airy treats. Again, they are a little messy, so I’d recommend handing them to your dog on hard wood floors, but if you have my dog, they will clean up the mess for you. Since there are only three in the pack, I’ve been treating these like desert for my dog, and only gets them after a long run or on a lazy Sunday to match with our ice cream.

Overall, I am really happy with this box. I love the variety, the theme, and the quality of each item. I feel like everything is higher end, and I’m not getting cheated with poorly made toys and crappy ingredients in the treats. I love that “Munchable” pack, and enjoy giving it as much as my dog likes receiving. That pencil toy is really fun as well. Really, I am happy with everything, and so is my dog. This month’s box has a value of $43. That is a little generous, I think, as Barkbox makes their own prices for these products, but since I only paid $20, I feel like I am getting a great deal on everything. I would pay about $6 on each product. I am happy with my return, and I can’t wait to see what else Barkbox has in store for my dog these coming months.

If you would like to try Barkbox for youself, just click here. They are doing a great special right now for 6 and 12 month subscriptions, so now is the time to join.

BoxyCharm October 2016 Review - Boxy Bazaar

Yes! My BoxyCharm has arrived for the month of October, and I am excited to see what is inside. October is my favorite month of the year, and Autumn subscription boxes tend to be the best, so I have high hopes for this month. BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty subscription box that delivers at least four, but usually five, full size beauty products to your door for the price of $21. It usually has a value of $100, which surprises me each and every time, so you really get your monies worth. Also, the products are higher end and go well with the theme. I seriously don’t have a single bad thing to say about this box. I hope it’s a good one. Fingers crossed!

Like I said, BoxyCharm has a theme each month to go along with their products. Unlike most boxes, BoxyCharm takes their theme seriously and shapes their products around that month’s inspiration. Also, their themes are usually pretty creative and spot on. This month’s theme is Boxy Bazaar. The circus / freak show theme goes along with this month’s most favored holiday, Halloween, but also, the warm tones and maybe surprisingly sparkly colors would blend in perfectly with the outdoor circus setting. I am hoping for some warm brown face powders and possibly a stand out color to get me in the mood for Fall. Along with the theme, each box comes with a descriptive card that explains in detail each item, their uses and some ingredients. They also include price, because that is always important to know if you are in the market for another.

Luxie Beauty Eye Blender Brush Pack

$36.00

I’ve been a smudge brush owner for a while now, and while I seem to keep getting more, I’ve been looking into purchasing a few other shadow brushes to help create a more detailed look. This kit is perfect to create your own masterpiece with a small tapered blending brush, blending brush, large tapered blending brush. First of all, I am excited to see that there isn’t another smudge brush, because the world knows I don’t need another, but the versatile sizes and brush densities give you a lot of styling room. I like this brush kit, and while I am not sure how these go with the theme, I am sure they will work perfectly to create your fall smokey eye or even to perfect your Halloween costume makeup. I will definitely get a lot of use out of these.

Temptu Shimmer Bronzer

$29.50 - 1 fl oz

This bottle of liquid bronzer is created specifically for an airbrush system, but you don’t need the expensive device to get your perfect bronzer look. By applying to your foundation, or simply just dabbing straight to your face, this bronzer gives you a flawless look. They also suggest mixing with your body lotion to add bronze and shimmer to your arms or legs. To me, this shimmer isn’t exactly what I would pick out on my own, and wouldn’t work with my daily look, but I could see myself wearing this on big nights out, or even to really give my Halloween costume an added dose of jazz. This isn’t what I would have picked out on my own, and I have no idea how I am going to go through this entire bottle, but it was definitely a fun product to try out. Plus, this alone is worth more than the cost of the box, so it has a great added value.

Briogeo Rosarco Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Creme

$24.00 - 4 oz

I actually blow dry my hair on low to give my hair the least amount of damage as possible, and so this product is great for me. I am already a fan of Briogeo, and have used up entire bottles of their leave in and deep conditioners. The scent is always light and clean just as the product itself. This leave in conditioner is no different. The formula is really light, so it won’t weigh down your hair, and it smells really fresh. I haven’t noticed a big difference while using this protectant cream, but I am sure I will see less scorched hair and less overall damage after a while. Also, my hair felt a little lighter and more volumous with this in, so it did not create any weight at all. I like this products, and I will definitely continue to use.

Japonesque Pro Performance Lip Lacquer in Shade 05

$20.00 - 0.18 fl oz

This hot pink doesn’t exactly speak fall, but it does give me that pop of color that I was itching for when I saw this month’s theme. Japonesque is a brand that has been popping up everywhere, and I have a feeling it is going to be huge. Their products are high quality, and their colors are always on trend, so this many be the next hot brand. I do have to say, they don’t give their colors names, but instead just list them by number, which isn’t really fun at all, and it is a little more difficult to understand the color without trying it on first. I’m not much of a lip lacquer girl, I much prefer the tinted moisturizer, but this is a great product, and I am sure many subscribers are going to go crazy for this item. I am going to pass this along to someone who would like it a little more.

IBT Beauty Three's Company Trio Eye Shadow

$19.00 - 0.12 oz

I have never heard of this brand before, but I already like what I see, and this is an instant favorite from this month’s box. First of all, the palette is super sleek and pretty compact. I could see myself taking this with me everywhere I go. Also, the three colors are beautiful. There is a shimmery highlighter, and burnt metallic copper, and a matte brown. Seriously, this is everything I would ever want. I can’t wait to use this new palette with my new brushes, especially during these cool, fall months. Everything turns brown this time of year, so why not my eyes. I hope to see a lot more from this brand, but in the meantime, I will be using the crap out of this palette.

Overall, this month exactly top five, but I am really, and I mean really, happy with three of the products. I cannot stop raving about that eye shadow trio palette, and the brush set with definitely get instant use. The hair protectant from one of my favorites, Briogeo, is also great. I know I will have much healthier hair while using that product. Unfortunately, the lip lacquer color isn’t my favorite, and I don’t really care for sticky lip colors, and the shimmery bronzer isn’t something that I will be using too often. If only it didn’t have shimmer! Loving three of the five products is still great, and they are well worth the cost. This month’s box has a value of $128.50. I seriously don’t make this stuff up. BoxyCharm is one of my favorite boxes each and every month, and I can’t wait to see what is in store for November.

PopSugar Must Have October 2016 Review

Yeah! My PopSugar Must Have has arrived for the month of October, and I am so exited to see what they have in store for me this month. Popsugar is a monthly subscription box that delivers the best in beauty, home, fashion, fitness, books, and food. This is a great way to stay onto of the most fashionable and trendy products without breaking the bank. The box costs $39.95, but they always have a value over $100, so it is well worth what you pay. I really like this box, and it is always a great treat when they arrive in the mail, so I can't wait to dig inside.

Each month, Popsugar curates their items around inspirations themes. Unlike most subscriptions, this box uses multiple words as their themes instead of a cute slogan. This month, the products are inspired by the following terms: reinvention, warm, cozy, snuggly, inspiration, and happy. Autumn is my favorite season, because the weather is starting to cool down, and my favorite holidays are in full swing. I love cuddling up when it gets cool, but also starting fresh with a fun wardrobe. I am hoping for a cozy accessory or maybe an organizational item. That is also a great way to start fresh. Seriously, almost everything in this box usually makes me happy, so that could be the inspiration every month.

$58.00

Alright, I had high hopes for this month's box, but this item is a total bust. First of all, it rarely rains this time of year where I live, this is more of a spring item. Second, I don't really associate this product with any of the inspirational theme words. Lastly, this really isn't my style. The brown and pink is a little basic, and I'd say a little dated as well. I do like that this is packable, so it can be carried with you for those unexpected downpours, and this is a great value. This product along costs more than I paid for the box, so at least I am getting my monies worth. Also, everyone can use an umbrella, so this is at least practical. I am not a huge fan of this item, so I hope it gets better from here.

$28.00 - 10 oz

Now, this its the kind of product I think of when I read the theme words. This luxurious shower oil doubles as both a decadent cleanser and bubble bath. With its paraben and phthalate-free ingredients, this oil transforms into a moisturizing lather that cleans and nourishes. Oil is definitely all the rage, and my face has transformed after switching to an oil cleanser, so why not for my body as well. Also, this smells amazing. Nothing could be better than jumping in the shower and using this luxurious body wash or bubble bath on a cool fall night. Plus, this will last forever since it is such a large bottle. I am loving this product.

$5.99 - 4 oz

Again, Popsugar hit it on the head with this food item for the month. Nothing says cool weather like a cup of hot chocolate, and I love cuddling under a blanket with something warm to sip on. Camp fires, football games, haunted orchards, I can think of so many times I will be outside in cold weather this month and I will want to drink hot chocolate during or after the event. This is a much more adult version of hot chocolate too, as it is more rich than your normal powdered drink, and it has no artificial flavors. I am going to mix mine with milk instead of water to make it even more rich.

$16.00

I have a large collection of coffee mugs, and this will fit in the pack quite nicely. I love the simplicity of the text, and "Rise & Shine" is the perfect quote to read with my morning coffee. I will have to say, the sun doesn't exactly shine this time of the year, so maybe a different quote would have been better, or they could've saved this for a different time. Also, I saw this exact cup in enamel, which speaks fall so much more to me. I wish we received that version instead. That being said, I do really like this mug, and believe me, it will be used. Plus, now I have a great new cup to drink my hot chocolate.

$12.00

I know that this month is breast cancer awareness, so I'd like to say, this pink product is very fitting, and I am glad they remembered include something of this color. This product promises to remove all of your makeup by just adding water. I have never heard of something so amazing, as I have to use at least two different products to fully remove everything from my face each night. With my doubts, I gave it a try, and I have to say, it worked really well. The cloth is a little small for a "wash cloth," but this is their mini version, so I bet the full size product would be a much better size. This doesn't exactly fit in with any of the product themes, but it is super practice, and I couldn't see a single subscriber not enjoying this. I will definitely be using mine over and over again.

$25.00

Oh, jeez. This "special extra" is a self help book written by the creator of this box. Nothing like self-promotion. I really don't have that much time to read, but when I do, I am more interested in literature or light hearted stories to help me escape from the hardships of life. I really don't care to read about other accomplishments and how you have to act or what you need to do to achieve their same fortune, because everyone's path is a little different. I do want to excel and grow in my career, but I do that by learning from my supervisors and asking questions from the experts. This will go in my book case, and I may read it, but knowing myself, this will eventually just go in the donations box. As an "extra," it is a little bit of a bummer to see that a lot of the theme words came from this book.

$8.99 - 0.056 oz

This is yet another "special extra," which is great, since it is nothing too exciting (I mean, you can get this from your local drugstore, and everyone knows this brand), but it is still a great product, and something mostly everyone will like and use. I think liquid liner is the best for this time of year when you can go a little darker with your makeup and draw some great lines. This would also be ideal to use with your halloween costume. To be honest, I like these little extras, since it is basically just something I won't have to purchase in the future, and it is so practical.

I do have to say, I had high hopes for this box. October is my favorite month of the year, and those themes were setting up the best box ever, but this was just middle of the road to me. There is only one item that I was head over heels for, which was the oil cleanser/bubble bath. I am also a fan of the mug, hot chocolate, and makeup removing cloth, but they weren't anything that I couldn't live without. That eyeliner is nice as well, but since it's an extra, I feel as though it shouldn't add to the overall feel of the box. That umbrella is out of season and not really my style. Also, I think it is a little tacky to include your own book in your best of pop culture box. This month's box has a value of $153.98. That is absolutely crazy for a box that costs less than $40. I can say that is a win. I hope my last fall box will kill it in November, or this season may be a complete bust.
