Ipsy Glambag July 2016 Review - Hot Summer Nights

Yea! My Ipsy Glambag has arrive for the month of July, and I am hoping this one will kill it after a few not so great bags. Ipsy is a monthly subscription box that delivers at least five full size and sample size beauty products to your door in a themed makeup bag for only $10 a month. They usually have a great value around $40, but once in a while they are pretty low. Plus, you can review their products in exchange for points that can be used on more samples. I am really excited to see what they have in store for me this month.

This month’s theme is Hot Summer Nights. Ipsy theme’s don’t mean much for the actual products, but their bags tend to go along each month. This month’s bag is pretty cute, but a little cheap, and I don’t know how sun umbrella’s transfer to summer nights. I won’t keep this particular bag in full rotation with other bags that I like more, but this one will be perfect for storage or filling with gifts for a present. I am hoping for some hot weather products and possibly some neon colors. I would like to try out a new lip color for summer.

$42.00 - 0.756 oz    ($1.00 Value)

First off, I am so freaking excited about a product from theBalm. I love this brand so much. Their packaging is so cute and everything I’ve tried from their line has been really high quality. I am a little disappointed about this color, though. It is darker than I usually go, by a lot, and the plum color doesn’t exactly scream summer. I did look into the palette that goes along with this color, and the rest of the colors in general look amazing. Plus, matte is totally in style and right up my alley. I don’t think I will use this item, even with a smoky eye, but I know that someone in my life will love it. This is definitely the first bummer of the bag.

$13.00 - 0.04 oz    (Full Size!)

Even though I rate every single product Ipsy delivers to me, and I continue to dislike every single lipliner, they send them to me over and over again. I have never used a lipliner except a clear one to keep my lip color in line, so I have no idea why they still send them my way. On the other hand, I really like this brand, and the products of theirs that I do use are always high quality. I also really like this color. I tend to not love mauves, but this lilac tint is really beautiful. This is another product that I will end up sending off to a friend or sister, or maybe I might just try it out. The problem, I don’t have a lip color to match. Strike two for me.

$28.00 - 2.6 oz    ($2.69 Value)

I've never heard of this brand before, so this is a brand new discovery for me. Along with makeup, I like seeing purposeful products in my subscription boxes. This all-in-one product is a face moisturizer, makeup primer, and makeup remover. Since I use face lotion every single day and night, this will definitely come in handy. I’ve also noticed recently that my makeup is just sitting on top of some of my moisturizers, toners, or serums. Sometimes I have to start from the very beginning after doing makeup since it isn’t blending in. This primer/moisturizer will be the best product for quick weekday morning. I am really hoping it works well, because I need a product like this in my life.

$22.00 - 0.01 oz    (Full Size!)

Again with the eyeliner. I swear, Ipsy sends me one at least every other month, and usually in a basic black. I have so many eyeliners, I don’t know how I would ever go through them all in a lifetime. This is a new brand discovery, though, and I am really happy with this vegan and ingredient conscious product. Also, I like the click style and the smudge bottom. The matte black is really pretty, and it goes on really easily. I am really happy with this item, and another plus,  it is full size! This one I’ll keep and use, but Ipsy, please stop sending me black eyeliner.

$10.00

One thing I really enjoy about this subscription are the beauty tools they throw in with the beauty products. I’ve received a few brushes from this line, so I’m starting to create quite a collection. I am happy with this, because I like the classic pink, and I really enjoy the quality. I actually don’t have a brush with this edge in my collection, so this will come in handy for me. I’m a pretty basic eyeshadow applicator myself, but I believe this brush could really step things up for me. It will help me create some detail, and really blend out those colors. I am happy with this product, and I’d be alright if Ipsy sent me every single brush from this line.

Overall, this bag just is definitely not a favorite. I am not a fan of the bag really, and only 2.5 of the products are something I’d use. I am really excited about trying out the moisturizer/primer duo, and that brush will get use, but only once in a while. I really like that matte black eyeliner, but I just don’t need anymore. Ipsy sends them to me all the time, and I only wear eyeliner about twice a month. That eyeshadow color just isn’t for me, and I don’t wear lipliner, so those two items will be handed off. This month’s bag has a value of $48.69. That is one great thing about this bag. I only spent $10, and with the mixture of full size and sample size products, the value is always great. I am going to redo my quiz and hope that Ipsy starts understanding my beauty preferences.

If you would like to try Ipsy for yourself, just click here. I think this is a great bag for the makeup connoisseur or anyone trying to build up their beauty collection.

Birchbox July 2016 Review - My Morning Routine

Yes! My Birchbox has arrived for the month of July, and I am pretty stoked to see what is inside. Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that delivers at least five sample size and sometimes full size beauty products to your door curated to your profile. Also, you can review your samples for points to spend in their online store. I think Birchbox knows me the best out of all my subscription boxes and always delivers products that I absolutely love and become a part of my normal beauty routine. I can't wait to see what this month has in store for me.

This month's theme is My Morning Routine. The products in this month's box will help us all get ready in the morning, rather it be great everyday products or those products that will help us transform our faces in a jiffy. I really like this theme, because I am always hitting the snooze, so I am hoping for products that will speed up my routine, but some others that will be once in a while products to really give my look a fun change. This box is really cute, too, and I can't wait to incorporate it into my morning routine.

$12.00 - 0.09 oz    (Full Size!)

I love it when I receive full size products from Birchbox, first of all, and I've absolutely loved every single product they've sent me from their lines. This lip gloss pencil is a great color, and perfect for a summer pop, but it isn't something I'd be willing to wear all the time. The lip color itself isn't super long lasting, but it still stays put in a while, and I am pretty impressed with the moisture, and how it doesn't dry out my lips. I really like this product, and will definitely have to break it out once in a while to complete my morning routine. I think it will be the best pop of color to brighten my face, especially with a summer tan.

$80.00 - 1.7 oz    ($2.82 Value)

To be honest, I already own this perfume, so this sample isn't something that I'm super excited about, but I do love this scent, so at least I will use it. I am thinking this may be perfect for taking with me on trips, or even throwing in my purse for some freshening up or splashing on before meeting up with friends. This perfume has notes of mandarin, grapefruit, pear, orange blossom, jasmine, and gardenia. I love how the citrus mixes with the flower to create the perfect light, summer scent. I find myself wearing this to Sunday brunch or the neighborhood farmer's market. To me, it smells like an easy weekend summer day. Birchbox nailed it with this one.

$58.00 - 2 oz    ($7.25 Value)

This is yet another product I've owned before receiving it in my Birchbox, but since I love this brand and the product, I am happy to have a sample size to use for travel. This pore dermabrasion works serious magic and cleans my pores so well. Also, it leaves the rest of my face feeling completely clean. I don't love those little beads, because they are always hard to remove completely from my face, but I've learned to use this product in the shower instead of at the sink. This is a great addition, and even it I didn't discover it from Birchbox, they nailed it on the head once again with finding me a product I love. Also, this is great addition to your morning routine.

$14.00 -  0.28 oz    ($7.50 Value)

For our sample choice this month, we were given the option to sample one of three mascaras, and since this is the only one I haven't already tried, I had to go with this mascara. I am pretty excited about it, too. This formula and brush will give your lashes major extension and crazy curl for the falsie look. Also, it is hypoallergenic and won't leave clumps or flakes. I am pretty impressed with this product, and it does everything it claims. I usually like to layer my mascaras, but with this, it is absolutely not necessary. Plus, it curls as good as a curling wand. I am really impressed with this product, and it is also a great price. I could see myself purchasing this in the future. It is definitely a major part of my morning routine.

$36.00 - 1.7 oz    ($7.20 Value)

This is a product that is so fitting for the theme, the month, and for me. I try to wear SPF every single day, but sometimes it is just too much layering for my face, and I don't want to apply to freshly applied makeup. Also, I've been wearing setting sprays more and more often lately, as the summer heat makes my makeup melt away. Since this product is a two in one, it takes a step out of my morning routine, but it also makes sure I am protected from the sun. I absolutely love this product, but since it is a little expensive, I probably won't purchase it in the future, but I will cherish every last drop of this sample. What a great product, and how freaking perfect.

Overall, this is one of the best boxes I've ever received. I absolutely love setting spray, mascara, face wash, and perfume. I probably won't wear that lip pencil that often, because the color is a little bolder then what I normally pick for my lips, but the color is beautiful, and the product is really great quality. That is amazing to be my worst complaint out of all these product. I also like the theme, and all of the products fit perfectly. This month's box has a value of $36.77. I am really happy with that amount, and that is pretty high for Birchbox. This subscription always does a great job of finding products I love at a great value, but once in a while, they blow it out of the water. I hope they keep this up.

If you would like to try Birchbox for yourself, just click here. It is my favorite subscription box of them all, and at the price, it is the perfect gift to yourself or anyone you love.

PopSugar Must Have Mini July 2016 Review

My Popsugar Must Have has arrived for the month of July, and while it hasn't been the most exciting box, I still have high hopes. This subscription box costs $18.95 and is a smaller version of the full size box and delivers two full size products every month. The also follow the themes of the larger box and sometimes even delivers products from the same brand as the full size box. This is a new launch for Popsugar, and while it is a great idea, the value and products haven't always been great. I am keeping it going until it doesn't seem worth it anymore, though.

The themes for the full size box are Sunny, Retro, Fun, Vintage, Playful, Cheeky, and Warm. These are great themes for the month of July, and I am really interested in getting something vintage or cheeky. Knowing Popsugar and past boxes there will mostly likely be a home and beauty product. I am hoping for something to bring to the beach or possibly some new shades. We will see.

SUNNYLIFE Pineapple Ice Trays

$17.00 - set of 2

These ice cube trays are really fun for summer and really nice quality, too. I'm not on that pineapple trend like the rest of the world, but for ice, I can jump on the trend. Also, since the trays are silicone, they are super easy to pop out, and PopSugar also suggests using these as chocolate molds. To be honest, I don't know how often I will use these, but since I have them now, I can totally see myself getting these ready for drinks by the pool or for a summer get together. It would be a little nicer if they were just a little bigger, so I could throw some fruit inside to freeze. That would put the icing on my summer cocktail cake.

LET IT BLOCK 30 SPF Sunscreen

$14.99 - 3 fl oz

This is the first I've heard of this brand, but I'm really happy with this new discovery. This sun block protects agains UVA and UVB rays and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Also, it uses mostly natural and only paraben-free ingredients. My favorite part, the container is recyclable, and uses minimum material, so I can leave a little less carbon fingerprint on the planet after using this product. I wore this sunscreen during a day at the ocean, and after going in and out a couple of times and spending the entire day in the sun, this worked really well. And, that is coming from someone that always burns in the sun. I am really happy with this product, and I am really enjoying this new discovery. Plus, it is priced pretty competitively, so I could totally see myself purchasing this in the future.

Overall, I am not overjoyed with these products, but I do like them both, and I think they are perfect additions to summer. The sun block is great, but since it is just sun block, it is just a little underwhelming. The pineapple ice cube trays aren't exactly something that I needed or will use a whole lot, but I think they are cute, and something fun to have. This box has a value of $31.99. This box costs $19, so that isn't amazing, but at least it is much more than I paid. This box in general has been a little underwhelming, but I've liked all of the products, so I really don't want to cancel my subscription. I will keep it going a little longer at least.

If you would like to try PopSugar Must Have Mini, just click here. This is a fun way to treat yourself with a smaller gift, especially if the larger version is out of your price range.

Popsugar Must Have July 2016 Review

Yeah! My PopSugar Must Have box has arrived for the month of July, and pretty early too. This subscription box delivers the most trendy and coolest products in beauty, fashion, home, fitness, books, and food. It costs $39.95 a month, and always has a value of $100. I've found some great discoveries in this box, and I hope this box has more in store for me this month. I am not usually a fan of summer boxes, but maybe this one will surprise me. I can't wait to see what is inside.

Each month doesn't really have a theme, but more inspirational words to help curated the box. I've noticed that the boxes still do have a collective theme, and they are usually shaped around the month and the season. This month's inspirations are Sunny, Retro, Fun, Vintage, Playful, Cheeky, and Warm. I have yet to see PopSugar use words like retro, vintage, and cheeky before, and that makes me really excited. I love vintage items, and anything cheeky is perfect for me. I am also hoping for some some summer goods to use during these hot months.

Sachajuan Hair in the Sun

$32.00 - 125 ml

I've never heard of this brand before, nor have a ever used hair sunscreen before in the past, so this is going to be a brand new experience for me. This smells nice, not great, but refreshing, and the packaging is really summery and cute. The product will product my hair from damaging UV rays, even in the pool and ocean, and will also keep my hair color lasting longer. Also this bottle is pretty large, so it will last me all summer and into the next. I don't like how it does weigh down my hair a little, and it makes my normally soft hair a little greasy, but since it is getting wet and full or salt or chlorine, that is worth the sacrifice. I am really enjoying this beauty product from this month's box.

House of Pom Emoji Cocktail Napkins

$25.00

This is not anything I would ever expect from PopSugar, but I am so smitten with these super cute emoji, cloth napkins. I would never see myself handing out cloth napkins with drinks to my friends, because they seem a little pretentious, but these are a little quirky and super fun. Those smily faces are my absolute favorites, but all of the emojis are fun, summery, and perfect for cocktail napkins. I don't know how often I will break these out, but I know when I do, they will be a crowd favorite. These will hang out in my bar cart until then.

Michael Stars Porcelain Skinny Scarf in White

$30.00

Normally, I am not a fan of the the accessories PopSugar includes in their boxes, but I absolutely love this skinny scarf. I love the look of a handkerchief around your neck (it is so Parisian), and it is the best way to wear a scarf in the summer heat. Also, this patterns is classic, yet trendy, which is all you really want with your clothing and accessories. I think this could be a great city, weekend look, or even a fun addition to a summer concert. I think I will wear this with your normal jeans and tank top with my hair up. This is a great addition to this summer box, and I can't wait to wear it all the way into the fall.

PINTRILL Pineapple Pin

$12.00

Seriously, PopSugar is nailing it this month. This pin is so cute, and another item I wouldn't expect in this subscription box. I used to be obsessed with buttons, but pins are definitely the new trend, and what is more summary than a pineapple. This will go right on my denim vest, and probably stay there until fall hits. PopSugar suggests using this with the skinny scarf, but I think they would completely clash. Plus, I don't plan on draping it as much as wrapping it tightly around my neck. This is super cute, and even though I'm not as obsessed with pineapples as the rest of the world, I couldn't think of a better pin for this time of year.

SUNNYLIFE Inflatable Swan Drink Holder

$18.00

I have been swooning over all these cute pool floats that have been all over Instagram and Snapchat, and the Swan has always been my favorite. I am always drinking in the pool, so this product is absolutely perfect for me. This swan will hold up to drinks that will float right next to you in the pool so they are easily accessible. Plus, they will perfectly hold solo cups, which is how I always roll since glass isn't an option. This is one of my favorite products I've ever received from PopSugar, and I can't wait to break it out for the next pool party. My friends are going to love it too.

European Wax Center Oh My Brow! Brow Highlighter in Pearl

$19.00 - 0.07 oz

I had no idea the company has their own makeup line, but it's a really fun discovery. Highlighters are everywhere these days, and really make a drastic difference to your face. This product was made for your brow bone, but you could also use it on your checks and nose like your typical highlighter, or even at your cupid's bow for some dramatic lips like PopSugar suggests. I really like this product, and the color is really pretty. My skin is a little on the lighter side, and this was the perfect shade for my skin, but I could also see it looking great on a lot of skin tones. I like this product, and it isn't something I'd expect to see in a summer box, but it is a nice breakaway from the normal bronzers you see this time of year.

Joe Chips Classic Sea Salt Retro Potato Chips

$1.49 - 2 oz

When I think of summer, I think of BBQs, and what better product to accompany burgers and hot dogs than potato chips. The packaging for this bag is super cute, and I love the vintage feel. These were really good and I ate the whole bag, but they weren't anything too special. I would be interested in trying out their other flavors, so I would totally pick these up if I found them in the store or in a gas station. I would like for PopSugar to include some healthier options in their boxes in the future. These are great for now, though.

Trove Custom Jewelry Gift Card

$20.00

This is the first time I've heard of this company, and I am already liking what I see. This site creates custom jewelry that is both trendy and high quality. There are a few pieces I am eyeing, but unfortunately, they are a little expensive. The least expensive item I can find is over $60, so this $20 gift card won't of far. I may go ahead and splurge on something I love, but I will probably end up not using this. It just isn't worth the extra cost.

Overall, I am really happy with this month's box. It isn't my favorite box ever, but I would say easily top 5. I love that skinny scarf, pool drink holder, cocktail napkins, and pineapple pin. That highlighter is really pretty, those chips were good, and I will have to get in the habit of using the hair protectant before I go out in the sun. Seriously, I am happy with every single product in this month's box, and that is coming from someone that doesn't normally care for summer products. This month's box has a value of $157.49. That is a great value for a box that costs $40. Plus, since I love everything, it was worth every single penny. I hope next month is just as great.

If you would like to try PopSugar Must Have for yourself, just click here. It is one of my favorite subscription boxes of all time, and it would make a great gift to anyone who deserves a treat in your life.

Avenue A Summer 2016 Review - Morgan Brian

OMG! My first Avenue A subscription box has arrived for the summer season, and I am so stoked. Avenue A is a brand new subscription box by Adidas that delivers fitness gear specially curated by a celebrity stylist once every quarter. It is a little pricey at $150 per box, but the value was more than double for the first box, and I definitely see that trending for a while. I’ve been wanting a fitness gear subscription box for a while, and since I know everything in this box will be high quality and name brand, this is perfect for me. Also, it only ships quarterly, so you’re not over splurging, nor are you receiving too much at once. I cannot wait to dig inside.

First off, this box is huge and definitely the largest subscription box I’ve received to date. This must mean there are some shoes inside? Or, possibly some workout equipment? The box wrapping looks really nice, and I like the athletic vibe. Also, it has a divider, so everything isn’t floating around inside when it’s delivered. Popsugar could learn a thing or two from them. Another thing I am enjoying is the information card. Not only does it describe each item, but the curated wrote a little note about her selections. This is missing an item, and there aren’t prices, so there is a little room for improvement. It does go into great detail with the items that are listed, though.

Adidas Edge Luxe Bounce Women's Running Shoe

$85.00

Yes! We received a pair of shoes in this month’s box! And, a pair that is definitely growing on me. At first I wasn’t too sure about them, but I’ve already fallen in love with those chunky laces and the sleek look. Also, these are so comfortable and super light. I’ve used them for running and my P90X video, and while they do have a good amount of coverage for cross fit, these made the perfect running shoe. I’d also throw these on for running errands or walking the dog. Plus, they look good with jeans, so I could wear them as an everyday sneaker. These shoes are great, and I am so happy they are a part of this box. Also, what a great value. Brand new shoes on top of the Fit Smart, how is this box going to get any better!

Adidas Adilette Cloudfoam Ultra Women's Training Slides

$35.00

I am shocked, not only did they include a pair of running shoes, but also threw in a pair of sandals. I can’t think of a better product for their Summer box. These sandals are perfect for slipping on to go to the gym or to the soccer/baseball field before transferring over to your regular workout shoe, or for slipping on to run outside. Also, they are so comfortable. I actually already own a pair of Adidas slides, but these are way cuter and higher quality. I am not in love with the pink, but since I will wear them more casually, and not really as a statement shoe, that doesn’t really matter. I’ve already gotten quite a few uses out of these, and keep them right by the door. It’s hard to say so far, but these may be my favorite item in the box.

Adidas miCoach Fit Smart Training Watch in White

$130.00

At first, I was so excited about this fitness watch. I have been wanting one for a while, because it is a great way to stay on track, but also a great way to make the most of each workout. I didn’t necessarily want one for just normal day use, but if it were slim enough, I would be willing to wear it all day to get the most accurate calorie burn and most likely try to burn more calories in a day. This, unfortunately, is huge. My wrists are already small, and this things is like a cuff. It does come with great features like a heart rate monitor, step counter, and Bluetooth capabilities, but I would not be willing to wear this all day, every day. Also, the battery dies in less than 24 hours. I think this watch would be great for someone that is trying to maximize their workouts or training for a marathon, but for the basic user, this is just too much. It is a great value, though, and pays for the box alone.

Adidas Women's Running Supernova Tank

$40.00

Wow! This is yet another item that I love. This tank fits perfectly, is super high quality, and has breathable fabric. Also, since it is summer, I am always burning up during my workouts, so I was in need of another tank. Since it is white, the heat bounces right off, but that also means you can see dirt and stains pretty easily, which for me, come easily while working out. I took this hiking, and the white has already lost it’s luster. While that kind of sucks, the design is great, since it is multi functioning. The symbol and the stripes are reflective, so cars can see you in the dark. I am really enjoying this tank, and I really don’t have a nicer one in my collection. I am going to try to wear it less in dirty environment, though, since I’d like to keep it white for a while longer.

Adidas Women's M10 Running Shorts

$32.00

What better workout bottom than some light and airy running shorts, so once again, they nailed it on the head by curating the perfect products for summer. While the design is darker, it is still a great pattern, and the material itself will keep you cool. Plus, these shorts look great with the tank and either of the shoes. I know we all like to coordinate with our workout outfits. Unfortunately, I prefer to workout in spandex, since they move around less, and I don’t have to keep pulling them down, so this isn’t the perfect product for me, but I know most of the other subscribers will love these. I also ordered a large, since I have a larger bottom than top, but these were just a little too big. I might have to exchange for a smaller size, but at the same time, I don’t want them to be too small. These are a great addition to the box, but I probably won’t get much use out of them.

Adidas Women's Yoga Freestyle Hairband

$16.00

The last product in the box isn’t listed on the info card, so I am guessing it’s an extra gift. This headband isn’t my favorite, and probably the item I will use least out of this box, but it is still really high quality, and it has a great pattern. It has a non-slip band on the inside, so it will definitely stay in place, and since it is wider, it will keep all of those flyaways out of your face.  I am also really enjoying the logo on the front. My hair stays in place pretty well, so I don’t really wear hair bands, but I could see myself using this at night while washing my face or even saving it and gifting to a friend. I am glad that this is considered an extra, because it would be a bummer if this were a high ticket item, since it’s my least favorite of the entire box.

This was my first Avenue A box, and I can’t see how it could get any better than this. I am in love with those running shoes, sandals, and tank top, and that Fit Smart tracker is a great workout addition, and what a value. The shorts are nice and will be used, but the hair band just isn’t for me. That is alright, though, and I am pretty lucky there is only one item in this entire box that I don’t really like. Overall, this box has a value of $338.00, which is absolutely insane. This is a more expensive box, but since the value is so high, it is completely worth it to me. And, the curation of products were spot on for summer. I am going to keep this box going for at least another season, and I really can’t wait to see what fall has in store. I am hoping for some long leggings and maybe a sweatshirt. Something to keep me warm during those evening runs.

If you would like to try Avenue A for yourself, just click here. It is a great gift to yourself or the athlete in your family.

Target Men's Beauty Box Summer 2016 Review - Looking Good

Every once in a while, Target will put out a Men's box along with their Women's Beauty Box. Usually, there is one every year for father's day, and one for the holidays in December. I always swoop these up, because it is fun to have my boyfriend receive a subscription box every once in a while too, and these travel size bottles are perfect for just that, traveling! These run between $5 and $10, depending on the value of the box, but this one was only $5. That is well worth the cost for the travel items along, and he also gets to check out fun and new products that are new on the shelves.

One thing that is newer for Target Beauty Boxes is the theme. This month's theme is "Looking Good." My boyfriend doesn't really care what he looks like most of the time, but when he goes out his way to clean himself up, he really prides himself. This theme is great, and I hope there are a lot of different products that will help him get excited about his own routine and not only looking, but feeling good. Also, these cards describe all the products, so you know what is special, and they come with a $3 off coupon when you spend $15 at Target on full size products. I've never used these, but they are great if you do end up spending money on these new discoveries.

Nautical Life Cologne

$34.00 - 1.7 fl oz    ($0.80 Value)

This cologne is supposed to smell like ginger, but instead it is so much better. To me, this is the perfect scent for someone that doesn't wear a whole lot of cologne. My boyfriend was pretty excited to wear this, and wore it the first time he had a chance. He says it is light and refreshing, so it was perfect to wear to a summer, outdoor wedding. I smelled him all night long, and it he definitely smelled good without being too overpowering. I really like this scent, and if he wore cologne more, I would totally purchase this for him.

got2B Glued Styling Spiking Glue

$4.19 - 6 oz    ($0.87 Value)

I don't think my boyfriend would ever purchase this product on his own, because the packaging suggests using this with a much more extreme do. But, he was pretty excited to try this one out. He likes to use gel every once in a while for those more dressed up events, and chose to wear this for a bigger event. That might have been a mistake, since he prefers a lighter hold, and this made his hair crispy. It was a super strong hold, though, so this product may be perfect for your man. I don't think he will purchase this in the future, but it will eventually all get used.

Marlowe No. 142 Men's Shave Gel

$7.99 - 6 oz    ($1.33 Value)

This is such a nice brand at a pretty great price, so I am really excited to see this in the men's box. I've been purchasing nicer shave gel for my boyfriend for a while now, and I think he really enjoys trying out these nicer products that helps bring out his best skin. He did love that this product was ultra moisturizing, but unfortunately, he thought it was just a little too watery and much prefers a creamier product or a heavier foaming gel. This is another product that he will not purchase, but he will definitely use up quickly enough. That is a little bit of a bummer.

Axe White Label Night Body Wash

$3.99 - 16 oz    ($0.42 Value)

My boyfriend already uses Axe body wash, but he has never tried this new white label series. This was a complete win for him, and I think his favorite discovery from the entire box. The smell is very masculine and clean, but not too overpowering. Also, the white bottle with the purple gel looks pretty cool too. Unfortunately, this did spill a little in the box, but most of the product stayed inside, and there are plenty of uses within. I think he plans on keeping this only for travel, since we will by flying quite a bit the rest of the year, but I could see him purchasing the full size product the next time he needs some body wash.

Dove Men+Care Complete Care 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner

$3.99 - 12 oz    ($0.60 Value)

This is another brand that my boyfriend already uses and loves, and the two in one option is perfect for my boyfriend's quick grooming routine. This also has a nice masculine and clean scent, that again isn't too overpowering. I am a fan of the Dove brand, so it is nice to see my boyfriend be a fan too. This doesn't really have too big of a value, but since these tiny, travel bottles go for about $2 in store, it is nice to get one at a much discounted price. Also, these are refillable, so this tiny bottle can go along with us forever.

NIVEA Men Creme

$5.49 - 5.3 oz    ($1.04 Value)

This thick cream is for use on your face, body, and hands, and I think this multipurpose product is perfect for the man in mind. I have lotion for body, hands, feet, and face, but that is way too much for the average man who doesn't want to spend that much time on himself, but would rather have one product to do the entire job. This has the perfect amount of moisture with medium cream. Also, it smells pretty nice for lotion, but doesn't have a cologne scent. I like this product, and I will totally purchase this for him in the future.

Schick Hydro 5 Men's Razor

$9.49 - 1 handle, 2 razors    ($4.75 Value)

Razors are always super expensive, so seeing one in this box justifies the cost of the box alone. This Hydro 5 has been advertised everywhere lately, so I am excited for him to try it out. He gave this a shot, and while it did give a super close shave, he didn't notice anything special about it. This is definitely a nicer razor, but it isn't the best thing he's ever tried. But, since it is a pretty good price, I could totally see him purchasing this again. This will last quite a few shaves, so I know he will get good use out of it.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar

$4.99 - 4.5 oz    ($1.11 Value)

To me, this is just a bar of soap, and something I would never use, but my boyfriend is a big fan of a bar instead of gel all the time, so I know he will definitely use this. I personally really like this brand, so it is fun to have my boyfriend try out this product. Again, this wasn't anything special, but it definitely did the job. He did have a little dryer skin than with his cream body wash, but nothing a little lotion wouldn't fix. This is a fun size bar, and would be perfect for travel, but he decided to leave it at home in the shower. That way he can use up every last drop.

Remington Beard Boss Beard Oil

$14.99 - 1 fl oz    ($1.37 Value)

Manscaping has changed from plucking eyebrows and filing nails to taking care or facial hair in a new way. This beard oil will keep that scratchy beard hydrated and shiny, but also fully moisturized. My boyfriend doesn't keep that big of a beard, so this product isn't something that he will get a lot of use out of. It does smell good though, and this is the perfect size for him if he ever were to grow out a beard. This is a fun product for the new age man, and it is super fun to see it in the Target Men's box.

Old Spice Hardest Working Odor Blocker Pure Sport Plus Deodorant

$5.49 - 2.6 oz    ($1.25 Value)

My boyfriend loves this brand, and usually only uses this deodorant. He has not tried this new hardest working collection, and it is perfect for summer when the heat is on. It does work really well, and the gel is perfect for wearing with bare arms. I also think it smells great, and I didn't mind being too close to his pits all day. One thing he didn't like about the gel is the way it feels wet under your arms and almost makes him sweat more. So, he probably won't purchase it again, but he will definitely use this up, and its a great size for travel.

Overall, my boyfriend really enjoyed this box and found it to be very useful. He really likes all the travel size products, which will definitely be necessary coming this fall. He really enjoyed the shampoo, body wash, shave cream, and hair gel. The body cream, bar soap, and deodorant, cologne, and razor were alright, but he won't buy them again. The bear oil isn't really useful for him right now, since he doesn't have a beard at the moment. This box has a value of $13.54. That isn't bad for a box that costs $5, and since he will use everything but the beard oil, I am really happy with this price.

If you would like to try Target Beauty Box for yourself, you have to pay attention to when they go on sale. I've noticed a trend of them going on sale the first Monday of the month, so start checking around then.
